Full-Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier DIY

Hi at all,

I just want to share my latest DIY project. It's a guitar combo amplifier with three tubes. The electronic circuit is based on Tube-Town's TT-SAM-MKII (http://www.tube-town.net/diy/tt-sam/tt-sam-en.html). Since I already had a 10" Celestion speaker, I decided to build the amp as a combo.



For the casing of the amp I've designed a DXF file, that I had laser-cut out of 1mm sheet metal. If anyone needs this DXF file, just drop me an email.
The shell is made of 19 mm MDF. Pictures of the building process can be found on my blog:

Maybe someone feels inspired by this project, it was real fun to build amp.

Given that the speaker box is isolated from the head, you could probably add a bass port to make that 10" speaker sound a lot bigger.

thanks for the hint... I'm just doing some sound design with the back panel. Maybe a bass port helps, too. Do you think it makes a big difference, if the bass port goes to the front or to the back of the amp?

Front porting it will be better.
