Sibelius Kontakt Wavelore?

I may be asking for too long an explanation here. I'm new to this, but not new to playing live. So far, I own Sibelius 7. I will be getting Kontakt and Wavelore Pedal Steel and want to feature Wavelore's Pedal Steel in songs I compose-notate in Sibelius 7.

When the arrangement is playing back in Sibelius, l want to be able to use an M-Audio keyboard and usb sound card to add the pedal steel live and have it notated automatically (along with the other staffs of various instruments I've already done in Sibelius).

I want the finished score recorded as an audio file (now with the pedal steel added hopefully).

I guess the main questions are:

- what steps do I take to play Wavelore Pedal Steel along with the composition in Sibelius and have it automatically notated? Does this involve using the Kontakt plugin and some sort of virtual patch into Sibelius?

- Do I need a DAW to then record the song, such as Pro Tools?

I am on Win 7 64 bit.
