Yes, they are the same with minor tweaks and different samples that come from Fl Studios synths.

I have them both. They are pretty much identical. Besides different samples, FL Studio Mobile has unique drum sequencer and Music Studio has 12 buttons to store chords. Mobile Studio has better acoustic instrument samples and FL Studio Mobile has a bit better drum and synth/bass samples for electronic dance music. Neither has a decent mixer view. Routing of effects is also very limited.
I also have NanoStudio and BeatMaker 2
NanoStudio has a VA synth engine that allows much more flexibility than samples, but on the other hand takes time to tweak. NanoStudio has a separete mixer view and decent effects with more flexible routing/chaining options also.
BeatMaker 2 offers some tricks to edit audio (ie. sampler and wave editor) and it supports virtual midi so that you can control other iPad software synths with it. Sadly as far as I know, you can't record the audio output directly into BeatMaker.
If you use iPad to just sketch up musical ideas, you might find either FL Studio Mobile or Music Studio most suitable to your workflow. NanoStudio and BeatMaker 2 are both slightly more advanced. If you mostly do sample based music then BeatMaker most likely suits you better. If you like to have an iPad sequencer with a real VA synth engine, you probably like NanoStudio more than the others.
