In the next major feature-driven update, Wave Designer will support exporting directly to both of these formats without the need to use WAV2ALCHEMY at all :)
Cool. I was very active in the discussions about this "support" from which (discussions) came WAV2ALCHEMY.

There was another one also, concurrently being worked on/released within a very short time, due to interest/demand on the part of the apps dev(s), and receptivity/needs of others.

I did several thousand "translations" with both, and remember there being some unsatisfactory (to MY ears) results, particularly with the "LFO" part of the export (IIRC). Well, it's one or the other, I'd just have to look at them in SoundForge. :hihi:

Anyway, good news.

Well, hopefully we'll be able to turn out something that can produce sparkling results :D

Does anyone know if Mach5 3 supports single-cycle waveforms, and if so, what sample length should they be?

Just bumping this to see if anyone knows, I posted it late at night.

Any feedback on this new version?

PM "evildragon", I think he is doing some programming/scripting with it.

Just tried 0.38 with the nodes. No complaints here  Does what it says on the tin!

Hey there,

First, great job so far! This is coming along nicely, and I've gotten some good results with it so far.

I thought it was curious that node editing and formula editing are completely distinct. I was expecting, for example, to generate a waveform with a formula and then use nodes to alter the formula's output a bit, but they are both in their own sandbox. I think that's great, but the ability to use both at the same time (as a third option) would be really cool.

The sample editor allows to insert any length. The synths have fixed waveforms.

Yeah, I talked to MOTU, who told me that they definitely support them, and the tech I talked to tested a package for me and said they all worked fine :)

Thanks for checking George, I appreciate it :)

Awesome, thanks for checking it out, and that's definitely a great idea. I'm going to update the Wave Designer page today and we'll add this to the features list!

Yep, just got the info from a guy at MOTU. I appreciate the info!

New version 0.3.9 is now available in your user accounts. New additions:

- Tab buttons now change waveform design mode when selected.
- The small drop down menu now shows the "Load/Save Preset" menu.
- Preset name now shows on the GUI.
- Expression parse error message now shown on GUI again.
- Bug Fix: Loading formula presets would lead to a 'parse error'

Website updates, and it should be updated again shortly to include a lot of new info, presets, downloads, etc.

You no longer have to use the drop down at the top to switch between editing views :)

Not sure if this is already on the feature list, but would it be possible once a waveform is generated to 1) filter some or all nonharmonic partials, 2) filter all or some harmonic partials and 3) adjust the relative amplitudes of harmonic v. nonharmonic partials?

We can certainly add those to the feature requests list :D thanks for your suggestions!

BTW - old presets will not show in the top browser section. Presets saved with 0.3.9 and later will show in that section though :) I've got a ton of new presets to add to the collection as well, probably tomorrow at some point.

Just a note - the issue with the UI shifting in some hosts (namely FL and Orion) has not been addressed yet, but it should be taken care of by the next update :)

If anyone has any comments or suggestions for the new release, please feel free to let me know.
