About $200.00.

I'm not sure how to answer that. What do you see as being the similarity between this and a FIR EQ?

Hi - I'm very interested in this, too. In other words, is it possible to have the filter structure that you design automatically shift with the fundamental frequency? Ideally, if you play a C, a script can be written to mute every 4th partial from that frequency, for example. If you play an F, every 4th partial from that frequency would be muted, etc.

Post

No, the frequency bins are fixed.

But it's a good idea for another plug-in :)

Post

Thanks - I'll let you know where to send the royalty checks :) .

So, even though the frequency bins are fixed, there is no way for the plug-in to identify the fundamental frequency at a given moment? Can a script be written to identify the frequency with the highest amplitude (as an estimate of the fundamental), and then mute (for example) every other bin after that?

Sorry for all the questions - I am new to spectral analysis and script writing/programming.

Post

That might be possible. To be honest it's a while since I wrote this and I forget the capabilities of the scripting system. The most likely problem will be that the fundamental falls between two bins. They can be quite widely spaced, especially in the lower pitch regions.

Post

Is there space between the bins? Or do you mean that the fundamental will be partly in one bin and partly in another? If the latter, maybe there is a way to write a script can identify the highest amplitude in any two adjacent bins?

Post

Partly in one and partly in another.
Yes, maybe.

Thanks!

One other question - are you aware of any other scripts that users have written, other than the two additional ones (LFO and freeze) that you included in the other thread?

Post

I'm not, no.

Post

Thanks again!
