On the plus side... This looks like a potentially great sampler and a generous give-away. The pro version is very reasonably priced too. I'll certainly check this out in the future.
Not sure what you did wrong, MIDI channel? Output? Here's a quick licecapof it anyhow.

"Oneshot" means sustain stage and sample loops are ignored, and just the AEG will determine how the sample is played. To have it played in full, just set release (or any decay) to a high value.

As for knobs, ALT is your friend, but the next drop will have it selectable as stated above (already implemented).

Then this is a new definition because in my many years of experience with various samplers, both soft and hard, it has always meant that the note-off message is ignored and the sample plays in its entirety - from beginning to end.

Anyway, it's your baby elcallio and I wish you luck with it.

Both the original TX16Wx, various E-MU samplers I've owned and operated, and the A4000, work as I previously stated (with variations). Oneshot ignores sustain&note off, using only AEG to determine sound length.
Playing the entrire sample ignoring the AEG would make it a pretty crude tool (imho), since you'd have no control over sound shaping.
Typical use case: vary the decay/release time of a drum sound by velocity to make it longer and fuller on hard hits, etc etc. You want the AEG doing what it does.

hi, it seems to me that filter cutoff changes only at note on and not when the sample is actually playing. Bug? Error on my side? even if i modulate cutoff via lfo the cutoff only changes at note on and stay stable until next nite on.

If you've read previous pages you would notice elcallio is aware of it and that fix will be coming. :D

Magnificent work.

But I've got to say there's a slight bit of sadness that TX v1 seems unavailible presently (sniff). Not much reason to use it over TX v2 - and the fact they both have the same ID means only one is seen in some hosts (Bidule).
I do prefer the speeed of TX v1 moving the numerical values for sample/loop points though. I know I touched on this before (hold alt key), but by comparison v1 is literally a speed demon. The numeric is really only good for fine tuning, definitly not for traversing an entire sample of even a a few milliseconds.

My V2 template won't load in V1 though. It was originally a V1 tplate that was resaved. I figure the format is supposed to be backward compatible?

So thats why i kept getting V1 when i had downloaded V2 :D I added a "2" to the new one and it would load as version2.

Great work! I downloaded TX16Wx and gave it a testrun. I like the gui and especially the file browser. But I've got a few feature requests:

- Zooming in & out doesn' t work relative to the mouse position. Would be great if zooming in and out would be relative to the current mouse position.

- Triggering different parts of one sample: I'd like like to trigger different parts of the same sample with different keys/pads. This is not possible without saving the parts as independent samples. It would be very helpfull if it was possible to dublicate a keyrange and automaticly get an copy of the sample for further editing. It would be also nice to layout parts of a sample directly from the wave editor, without using the slice function.

- Midi learn for setting up keyranges and rootnotes would be nice.

I always thought the Ensoniq method of mapping was the best - it would immediately ask for root key after hitting Sample Stop. From there it would map the sample up and down the keyboard accordingly. You could build a drum kit by hitting the next empty key or map to ranges by choosing all C keys for instance. It made it really simple. Obviously you could edit the actual key range specifically afterwards as well.
That is why I would suggest to implement direct mapping. It is the most direct way for creative sampling.
As I am a Reaper user I think of crazy routing anything to a TX16Wx instance and can sample anything that comes across.
Then it should be configurable in the preferences how samples are mapped and spread.
For fast and easy sampling, mapping should start at a selectable key, with options to omit black keys and a selectable play mode, building splits would be handy too.:D

I know this is a lot of FR but this thing (most of all direct sampling) has a great potential as you can see by the great response in this forum.

Cheers

Great sampler!!
Another feature request

I'd like to have a global filter / envelope / LFO etc. section at the program level. So it would be possible to modify globally some parameters for all the groups/split/samples.

a.

Nice sampler mate, Well done :)

One small FR i'd like to suggest though.

When saving samples with the programs/banks ect could the folder be named the same as the program/bank name instead of "Samples" ?

This would save having more folders within folders than is necessary.

Sorry, the files and daw chunks are only forward compatible. I think I'll address your speed issue with dialing wave locations instead. ;-)

Good suggestion (though I think a setting might be in order). I'll put it on the list.
