Any sampling guru's here? I have a project which involves recording multisamples of various fretted instruments. I know pretty much how im going to do it in terms of the dynamics and articulation, but im not sure how exactly to program them into the sampler. Im using Kontakt, but I may well end up using Giga. I though i could have the mod wheel to fade in vibrato, and the mute and sustain pedals to switch to mute and legato. I'll also have velocity switching for the dynamics. How could i switch between up / down strokes? Is there another controller that might be suitable for this task?

Up / down switching on alternate notes would be cool
I don't know if either of those samplers can do it, but if not you could build soundfonts & embed them in a Synthedit creation.. you could even arrange for down-beats (or bar-starts) to automatically reset to a down-stroke..

One thing I particularly like about Kontakt is its ability to let him switch between up/down strokes automatically. Kontakt could do that before but since version 1.52 you can easily programm that kind of swiching additionally to the key switching.tee boy wrote:How could i switch between up / down strokes? In the "GROUP START OPTIONS" simply choice your key to activate the specific group AND then add the "CYCLE ROUND ROBIN" option additionally to activate the specific up/down groups. There you go ...
Do you have a solution ... or are you a part of the problem?
