yep. all CC and midi channel combinations woukd be great.
and most of all more host automation parameters ( 256? 512? 1024? ) , because 48 seems a very few.
and Filter/Adsr/Lfo/modulations at the program level.

Most of the wavs in that SFZ have trailing junk in them, which I tend to be harsh with. I've made a fix so to accept partially broken wavs to greater extent, now it loads fine.

I've never seen EvilDragon's knob issue (XP SP3).

I think the text is relatively small in 1024x600, but not entirely annoyingly so - and my eyes are on the verge.... I've wondered what (1280x800) might look like on a huge screen. Maybe you need to scale things per each resolution. 800x600 may be useful for a netbook or something, otherwise, it's probably not that import. Unless it fits better on a Win8 tablet. Abbreviations shouldn't be too difficult to understand either.

I'm on the fence about font size.

ACR23 wrote: - Triggering different parts of one sample: I'd like like to trigger different parts of the same sample with different keys/pads. This is not possible without saving the parts as independent samples. It would be very helpfull if it was possible to dublicate a keyrange and automaticly get an copy of the sample for further editing. It would be also nice to layout parts of a sample directly from the wave editor, without using the slice function.

- Midi learn for setting up keyranges and rootnotes would be nice.
Actually, both the "Wave Start" as well as using slices to set up regions to play of a longer wave can be used to do what you describe. You can also copy parts of waves by moving the start+end marker and then do a "duplicate range". (Quick select regions is a feature coming, should make that quicker).

MIDI input for note values is a great idea. Actually, full MIDI remoting is a requested feature, but as it stands right now I don't know when I will be able to implement it fully.

Thank you for the hint, I'll check it out. Yesterday I found a bug: I chopped a wavefile by loading the original wavefile (32bit/44.1khz). Then I trimmed the part and opened the original wave file again. After a 12 chopps TX16wx reacted buggy. The trim and save function didn't work for one part. I couldn't delete another wavefile in the waveeditor.

Sorry, could you provide a little more detailed instructions in how to reproduce? I think I'm not quite understanding exactly what you did and how it went wrong...

Yep, no problem. 1. Load a wave file "w1" 2. select a part of "w1" 3. trim & save part as "w1_1". Repeat steps 1-3 with "w1" & rename trimmed parts as "w1_2", etc.

edit: load w1 allways into the keyboard mapper (step 1.)

how can i miss this

EvilDragon wrote:That looks clearer indeed. I wouldn't be bothered by not having 800x600, that's bloody ancient. :D

By the way, could there be a way to make the tabbed controls look more like tabs, instead of just differently colored text? This might add more clarity to the intended functionality of those controls.

One thing I also have problems with is the TOO simple layout of parameters for groups/splits. Please add separators between different parameters to make this clearer. Add a colon after the name of parameter to make this EVEN clearer:

Range: [ ] | Vel: [ ] | Shift: [ ] | Tune: [ ] | Mode: [ ] | Trig: [ ] | Scale: [ ] | Choke: [ ] | Out: [ ]

It seems that the last (rightmost) animation for knobs is stretched improperly, looks quite weird:

Dear Dragon, how did you make this animated gif show up directly in the browser.
That's kinda cool and I don't get it.
I have made a licecap of a redraw error and think it is more convenient for other users to see it in the browser.
I have a dropbox account, can I use it for this?

Thank's

I hosted the image on imgur.com, then pasted the BBcode link here. :)

Well, he is rather sensative about it, so don't feel too badly about missing out.

elcallio wrote:I _can_ turn up the font size a little, but that has some consequences:

1.) No more 800x600 resolution - cannot fit it (maybe if I move the sampling controls to a separate panel, since its obviously something to expand upon anyway)
2.) Some inputs will have to be re-styled (abbreviated, i.e "External Controller 11" -> "Ext. Ctrl 11") to ensure that 1024x600 and above can fit all the sound control panels without scroller.

Here's an experiment:

If enough people say they want this I'll do it. Just beware the consequences.
I like the bigger font version much more (and even in the 20th century, i had a bigger resolution than 800x600 :) ).
I'm fine with abbreviations.
So +1 ;)

The bigger fonts the better in my opinion. 1920*1080 on 24" here.

Another feature request

I'd like to have a global filter / envelope / LFO etc. section at the program level. So it would be possible to modify globally some parameters for all the groups/split/samples.

a.
I can understand where you are coming from with this, and its a possibility. However, I am somewhat uncertain. What you are describing is pretty much a soundfont approach (separate keyzone + program modulation), which I am not wholly on board with, being more old school than that. ;-)
On the other hand, it could certainly be added in a reasonably unintrusive way, so I will not dismiss the idea. But even if I'm convinced that it should be added the fact is that it represents a rather major architecture change and I would simply not have the time to do it for quite some time. (I consider fixing all bugs and previously promised pro and free features highest prio).

In truth, I think maybe what you are asking for would perhaps be better as a "light" TX, perhaps non-multitimbral, simplified mapping etc, and program level modulation based fully on automation?

Sorry to (somewhat) disappoint, I do appreciate the suggestion though. I will add it as a possible feature, but I doubt I can handle this inside the v2.0 time frame.
Cheers

really nice sampler!
i really like the drag'n'drop function. but why isnt it working in cubase? i can drag a sample from the browser into it but nothing from the timeline or the cubase browser thing.
and sometimes the keyzone resize option is a bit fiddly (the small redline)
but apart from that great plugin!

I think that if you mean media bay and similar in cubase, the problem is that Cubase does not send those drag and drops as actual files, only steinberg internal data. Thus there is not really much I can do... :-P
