P.S. my apologies for my track for this month, only couple of days ago I realized there's something wrong with my speakers, after for first time I listened to my track in my car after burning on a CD, the bass is far too much, I was wondering why I can't mix the bloody thing it had no power but going in the red, I always have my speakers / monitors set @ same settings and never touch them, my little son has turned both bass and treble knobs right down to min. And I was listening to a very weak sound and keep trying to adjust and wondering why it keeps clipping and go into red, while sound thin and sh!t... ah well mystery solved... I have no idea for how long they have been set like that...

I'll re-do it and re-upload after contest is finished ;)

The genre may not be totally my bag but there is no denying the skill and craft involved in the naturalistic sound design, the sheer awesomeness in arrangement and the more than capable craft composition that Photonic calls down from the heavens like lightning and bottles into tracks like this.

The lessons I learn from listening to the great variety of styles and applied techniques brought to this contest each month are priceless. Thanks so much to all who participate and a special thanks for the encouraging comments and votes!

My favorites this month:

1. Doc Jon - The Travellers Return (5 pts)
This track has a very strong theme and the wonderful development, arrangement, mix, and melodies knock it right out of the park. A home run! (or whatever you Brits call it in cricket...)

2. Jasinski - Logos (4 pts)
So much depth and subtle yet powerful movement. Absolutely breathtaking in places. Tremendous piece.

3. NikP2000 - journey of the logue-pod (3 pts)
Love the relaxed and light-hearted indie-style feel to this track. I think it would be perfect for a Wes Anderson film.

4. Loris D Solic - When Planets Collide (2 pts)
Creativity and energy are off the charts. The drum rhythms and progressions have a puzzle-like quality that I really enjoy.

5. Photonic - Fretless Bliss (1 pt)
The epic progressions combined with the smooth bass lines really wow me. Would have ranked higher but the upbeat section towards the end snapped me out of my blissful state - though I certainly do admire it's musicianship.
