From what I read, it can go from one layer monophonic up to 8 layers with 32 voice polyphony. I'm sure CPU useage will vary from patch to patch.xamido wrote:Question for beta bester, does it use more cpu that DIVA? If the answer is yes, then i'm out.

So it seems that when you play similar patches in LuSH-101 and Diva, Diva's CPU usage is bigger but on the other hand if you build 4-5 layered patch in LuSH-101 then it can be very CPU hog.

I know a good 4 or 5 Dave's in person and if not more on teh interwebz. Then my Uncle is called David/Dave and I narrowly escaped with being a 'David' also but it crept in as one of my middle name's and I used my two middle names in reverse order when naming my Son, Luke Daviddavidka wrote:davidka means 'little david' in HungaryKriminal wrote:Bizzare. Saurus sounds spectacular and a new bank will be coming out that shows what it can really do. Don't ask me when, I don't know, but some of the stuff rivals DIVA (IMO)

lol, the fact is, we have a great amount of quality synths now. It's not hard to rival DIVA, it just depends on what you are looking for. I know for me DIVA is irreplaceable for certain things, but other synths have their own specialties.osiris wrote:Saurus sounds spectacular and a new bank will be coming out that shows what it can really do. It's worth remembering that not all analog gear is equal, and a lot of it simply comes down to taste.
I tell you what though I was doing some cleaning up and I came across a bounce down of a DIVA part that I never ended up using. Boy does it put a smile on my face!

The sound is good, definitely going to demo. But as for other things, I'm going to quote myself from a post at gearslutz:
"But one thing I'll say now, I absolutely hate the GUI. It is really hard to read. I was looking at a picture which took up most of my screen (17"), and I'm straining to read it with 20-20 vision. I don't need to see the f***ing PW, MW and keyboard; all they do is take up real estate on the screen, get rid of it and space out and enlarge the parameters."
The italicized is just a general note that all developers need to hear

It is a little hard to read and the faders a short distance for my taste. But in use I find it doesn't really bother me. Im on a 23" screen though. I'd like a bigger screen though, I always feel like I am squinting at everything and cannot see enough at one time.

Yep. Totally agree. I can think of plenty of synths which do some things better than Diva, for my tastes.Aiynzahev wrote:the fact is, we have a great amount of quality synths now. The problem, for other analogue emulations, is one of Diva's specialities is attack transients. That matters, because that's what our ears are most sensitive to, and it's one of (if not) the main identifiers which people use to tell hardware analogue from virtual.
Based on the demo tracks it's hard to tell if Lush 101 delivers there (could be down to the sounds chosen). If it can't then Diva will likely be able to cover many Sh101 sounds better, even though it's not a dedicated emu. That's the sort of problem devs face with Diva. But, with a price of $200, it seems like D16 are confident

Just something while we wait:

This is all Lush aside from Duende Bus compressor. You can really hear the quality of it's reverb. Lush, because it has an arp and really good effects, is great for just wondering off on tangents. I can realize a lot of diverse sounds very quickly.
