Next beta - please allow us to offset the octaves for the mapping keyboard (I'm used to C3 being middle C).
Thanks for the update!

I'll consider it, if time permits. Though MIDI spec clearly states that middle C (60) is C4.EvilDragon wrote:Next beta - please allow us to offset the octaves for the mapping keyboard (I'm used to C3 being middle C).

There have always been different interpretations. Roland/Cakewalk use C5 as middle C, Kurzweil C4, Kontakt uses C3, Pianoteq 4 uses C3, MachFive3 uses C3, Reaper allows offsetting the numbering exactly because of this.

+1 for this feature. Any relief from this long standing 'compatibility' issue would be great.EvilDragon wrote:There have always been different interpretations. Actually, there is (coincidentally) another thread about tuning in "Hertz" rahter than semitones+/cents. THAT 'option' would be nice, also.

Same bug I reported earlier with the new b13 beta
The wave editor reacts very slow after 9 slices & just stops working after a 13 slices. Is this a beta restriction?
Repro steps:
load a wavefile into the waveeditor, start chopping (with "Dublicate Range") and mapping it to the keyboard mapper (with Drag & Drop) until the waveeditor stops working. (cubase 5 x64)

hi,
Looks it will be a really nice sampler.
I have 2 feature requests:
1. could you add an option to press right mouse button to add modulation?
Like: right click -> add modulation -> lf01
2. Could it be possible to right click in the file browser and be able to replace the file you already added into the sampler?
Thanks for your hard work, i really think i'l buy it

1. I agree, that would be very fast!
2. There could be a better way of doing this. For example, you double-click on the split directly, the browser opens with the location of the file opened, and from there you just select a different file for that split. (This is how MF3 works, it's much faster than Kontakt's right-click->exchange sample!)

Do you mean right-click the modulator pane and pick something like "Modulate Volume" from a context menu? Interesting idea.gts wrote:hi,

As for second, I want to put in both a replace and a preview-mode for samples etc while still working in the file browser. Perhaps crackbabys thought on double-clicking to put into "preview" mode would be useful. And setting/dialog to ask if you want to replace the sample when done.
All good ideas, I'll think on it.

I think I have managed to reproduce what you are talking about. I'm investigating. Sorry for the delay.ACR23 wrote:Same bug I reported earlier with the new b13 betaThe wave editor reacts very slow after 9 slices & just stops working after a 13 slices. Is this a beta restriction?

No, more like right-click the knob to be modulated and present all the modulations in that dropdown menu. See Kontakt, MachFive 3, etc.elcallio wrote:Do you mean right-click the modulator pane and pick something like "Modulate Volume" from a context menu? Interesting idea.
At least that's how I understood the guy.

I mean right-clicking anything that can be a source.elcallio wrote:Do you mean right-click the modulator pane and pick something like "Modulate Volume" from a context menu? Interesting idea.gts wrote:hi,

For expample: right clicking aeg sustain, drop down menu appears and lets you choose modulation destination.
I got Diversion cm and it's got this option. Love it.

Bug:

Seems like I cannot drag the right edge of a zone to change the keyrange, since the right edge is not even visible. Also the edge seems to be hard to target. A few more pixels for the hitzone might be a good thing.
Protip - the cursor should change to left-right arrow when hovering over the edges, not when clicking them. Ditto up-down arrow when hovering over top/bottom edges.

Update: I found the error. A horrible horrible error. Fix will be forthcoming.ACR23 wrote:Same bug I reported earlier with the new b13 betaThe wave editor reacts very slow after 9 slices & just stops working after a 13 slices. Is this a beta restriction?

Awesome stuff this sampler, very usable and seems rock solid. Very glad you finally abandoned the hardware retro unintuitiveness of the last one and went 'software'.
Could this in the long run be a rival to Kontakt? With a free and a reasonably priced pay version what's to stop it being on everyone's machine in a year or two, and people making sample sets for it as well as for Kontakt. (or maybe difficult to become a household name when the name is 'TX16Wx' ?
)
Any plans on a sample converter so we could import other stuff as well?
