LOL, yeah you can just rename it to The Drop.dll and all will be fine. I'll update the php on the web page to name it correctly in the zip.

That's fabulous, seriously...

Yep, the php had 'The Glue.dll' instead of $product_name . '.dll', all fixed now and it is just as easy as renaming the file yourself.

Thanks... Renamed or in originally named form, the VST is not showing up in Ableton Live (WinXP Pro SP2).

FYI.

:)

Can't wait to try it out.

Hand in there Andy, we all love you! It's such an amazing plug-in you have in your hands! I love all the oversampling options, what are you guys using for realtime and are you hearing a difference between the amounts? I'm settling at 2x for now ..
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

It seems not to work in Cubase correctly (32Bit version). With some channels it doesn't process the audio (tried it on the master channel: don't work, moved the instance to a Geist channel: works... moved it to FXPansion Strobe instrument track: doesn't work).
Edit.. now it stops completely to process audio. After restarting Cubase it works :?:

Hmm, this is the trouble with using a new compiler. It's all working fine on my Windows 7 machine, but I don't have a Windows XP machine to test with. Let me check the project settings and see if there is anything I can find.

Do you have an SSE2 capable processor?

This is seriously amazing. I'm not doing any synth music (well, never say never) but just tried using Drop as low-end enhancer for a kick-drum and as gate on toms -- yummi!

Ahh I think I found it. "Platform Toolset - Visual Studio 2012" sounds terribly like it won't support Windows XP. I'll do a new build using the Visual Studio 2008 toolset instead and see how that goes...

Doubtless a new Microsoft ("security") feature...
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

pffffftt.........this sounds f**king ridiculous, what price is it gonna be???

Post

gaawd its great. two osc's, one for sidechained FM, and the lfo. I almost dont miss my modular anymore...almost. So many timbres.
Congrats, hope its priced within my budget.

It's USD 99, with existing owners of The Glue receiving a 30% discount. Everyone buying The Drop while in beta is a full customer and entitled to all updates for free.
Edit: I remember Andy also saying if you buy both at the same time total discount will be the same.
