@mojofunk - have u tried diskaid? I only use iTunes when diskaid don't do the job

I also hope the dev adds the standard iOS features, ACP, background audio, etc. One other thing I'd like is landscape mode where the home button is on the right, altho I can work upside down

Gonna buy it for now because it looks like a great tool. But I won't use it in combination with iTunes...only thinking about using iTunes gives me the shivers

Nope. You can have it also on osx, but you've to compile it.

I'm actually really tempted to try and do this...the OS X version looks awesome too...and it's free!

Did you have any troubles installing the libraries? (It requires you to run some sudo make install command...)

Well still I'd love to import samples straight from dropbox on the ipad without having to connect it to my PC.
I like to use my ipad stuff on the go

Well, i did it some weeks ago, i remember that i had some difficulties with the libraries, but at the end i had success.
Anyway yes, you have to make some sudo meake install commands...

I actually pulled it off! Had to google some basic terminal commands and follow all the instructions but I did it!!!

Put some samples in the loops folder and fired this baby up... I'm in drone heaven!!!

DiskAid doesn't bloody work with Snow Leopard... even though it is supposed to.

EDIT: Scratch that - the demo wouldn't run on my Macbook but does on the Mac Mini. Seems pretty useless though. iTunes worked OK.

So on iPad 1 it crashes if you put too many samples in the playlist. Seems OK with 6 samples of no more than 5 secs duration.
Also it doesn't recognise Camera Connection Kit and UCA222 external sound module - headphone out only.
Might try and compile the non-ios version.

The developer chimed in at synthtopia and said better import export stuff is coming among other things. He just said it will take a little time since he's the only dev on it. Also the current price reflects the level of functionality, I'd expect it to go up when all of these other updates take effect. Right now I think it's still a steal.

I was thinking more along the lines of iPhone.
