Not really blowing me away either, not yet at least ... Just had a quick play but will play some more. It sounds good no doubt about that but not exceptional I wish I still had my sh-101 to compare this with but it somehow lacks to me some balls. The presets are good though
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

mmmm...with my eyesight the way it is the GUI could definitely be a little larger here... :x

On Reaper it really is not much of a CPU piggie...but on X2....weeeeellllll...

i played with the demo for 15 minutes on my celeron 900mhz laptop with built in speakers and i am in love! i can lay down a 2 layer bass line on my sub-notebook, so i am relieved and i'm sure that my 3.0ghz quad will handle it fine. i really like what i hear so far - VERY true to analog and to the 101.

my left hand went through a glass panel the other day and i am typing/playing with one hand for 2 more weeks, but i think that i will go ahead and buy LuSH tonight! :)

it has been strange waiting a chunk of my life away for this product, but it looks like a real hit. i may be selling a certain grey, modded, monophonic analog synth one day soon.

For example: Check presets > Single Zone > Tempo Based > Sequence

I usually *hate* sequenced presets - but it will show off what it's capable of!

Wow. I had my doubts but I didn't expect it to be this unremarkable. I was hoping it would be decent. The sound is just not really very good. There are old Reaktor 4 ensembles from 10 years ago that sound more analog than this. I don't get it.

Sooo... installed Lush 30 minutes ago. And so far i must say - it's f*cking awesome!

I think the best softsynth i had every played. Great sound, incredible presets, highly versatile. The mixer, with EQ on each channel and master-fx send - perfect!

Till a half hour ago i thinked DIVA was the best synth 2012, but now, it's Lush :hail:

From multi layer sounds, till drumkits and complete sequences with bass and drumloop parts, all possible. Well done D16, and specially Sebastian with many many awesome presets.

Now those are some VERY different opinions 15 minutes after product release :D

Just because a company spends years developing something doesn't automatically justify a higher price and generally isn't it the market that dictates the value of a product? For example... Two people make chairs one does it faster than the other does that mean he should take less than the one who does it slower. How innovative is Lush and what took the developers so much time..
I'm just playing devils advocate here by the way. I wish D16 lots of success.

My first impressions:
- Very small GUi texts which makes the GUi very fiddly. Found no way to change the GUi so far.

- Very high CPU use: Even with a monophonic sound and a single layer i get up to 35% with some Unison and around 15-20 without Unison on my Core 2 quad Q6600 CPU

. In the preset the seem to be very few "basic" Lead spounds using the original features of the SH-101 and only very few Lead presets use the "SH-101" filter mode at all.

Personally this time i try to keep cool. In the past every new synth was "the best one ever" for me and after a while i was disappointed...
Saying it is better than Diva or any other synth is for sure a bit too early for my taste.

Well it's my personal impression, and i'm blown away! But everyone will have a different impression and meaning about it.

I think through the 8 layers + mixer Lush can do soooo many sounds, which other synth's couldn't do. And specially the basic sounds, this is i guess highly depending on the personal taste. But for me - if a synth give me such impression after half hour playing - it must be good :hihi:

I'm blown away, wouldn't make me sell Diva or Saurus but instead gives me choices.

Love its sound it's right up my alley

I respectfully disagree with people who think this does not sound analog. I think this synth really delivers.
I have a few analog synths and in my opinion this is in the same league. I've had 2 or 3 SH101's and 202 and in my opinion lush101 has got that same liquid Roland sound. There is filter stepping like someone mentioned but that is the case with many other synths as well. It does not bother me that much to be honest.

I have been looking into buying myself an 101 or 202 because I have missed that sound so much, but I think I will go with this instead. D16 you got my money.

Perhaps people who don't like this synth don't like 101 either?

I disagree with the "only synth you ever need" slogan and I am also not declaring this as the best softsynth I know (there is no such thing), but I would still say that D16 nailed it this time.

I wish there was some mix knob for the distortion effect. I will probably end up using some of the effects I already have because of this. Very good sounding insert effects imo.

People don't forget to change the quality setting from the options.
