Smart Electronix do not provide samples for this. What you need to do is *literally* load their plugins (buffer overdrive, ect) into a wave editor like Audacity and then edit the digital noise that results from this into individual samples.

You can modify the pitch and time domains of these resulting samples, but nothing else can be applied unless it comes from a smart electronix plugin. Ideally, one would assume, that you should NOT use other plugins that effect time and pitch unless they are SE in origin.

The way I'm approaching this is -> if your application has pitch and time abilities, use them (i.e. soundforge, wavelab, soundhack, cubase, whatever). Anything that is an external plugin SHOULDN'T be used unless it is SE in origin, even if they are hosted in these programs.

I think the acceptable processing is known as 'offline applications'. Normalise, DC Offset, and not much more than that. Bram says some EQ and compression is acceptable over the SMEX samples and plugins via your mixer and/or audio processor. But other than that - you should get wicked with EQ Sync and Rez Synth for audio tonal shaping. And Bram says Mad Shifta (At Toby Bears) is acceptable as well for Pitch Bends/Corrections via controller. :D
