Yep, totally forgot about that option. I've been using it a good few years now and I'm still learning (and sometimes re-learning). I still like being able to set the list in Lush though - I can pick and choose which parameters show on the list and in what order. Totally understand why others wouldn't necessarily like it.Teezdalien wrote:pdxindy wrote: Well in reaper you can have the last moved parameter show at the top of the list of automatable parameters so it's really not that much of pain imo.

Can't wait to hear it. Or can I...ZenPunkHippy wrote:So I'm sitting here with the Roland SH-101 and LuSH-101 playing exactly the same sound and sequence.
Audio comparisons on the way but it's going to take a little while to sort out.
Prepare to be ... indifferent
Damn being a geek is annoying!
Peace,
Andy.
But seriously, I'm really interested to hear how it compares.
I'm really liking LuSH, it has a very nice sound and unique character, and I think that it would really complements my other synths. I have some other software I've been debating on selling, maybe this will be the push to sell.

That still sounds like a pain. I just assumed that other daws were automatic like Live...Teezdalien wrote:Well in reaper you can have the last moved parameter show at the top of the list of automatable parameters so it's really not that much of pain imo. The thing I dislike most about reaper's automation is how clunky it is to draw in and edit the actual automation lines/curves, a real PITA compared to other DAWs imo.pdxindy wrote: Never tried to automate in Reaper cause I have only used it for cutting up radio interviews... I agree with you...If you have to look at a massive list, better to have some control of it... Makes me appreciate Live all the more that none of that is necessary. Be nice of D16 provided a preference option for those using Live and other hosts that function the same way. For us that method makes me work just to be more limited!dexterbella wrote:Teezdalien wrote:Yep, totally forgot about that option. Hmmm... not trying to argue with you as I use both reaper and live, and yes it's easy with live but there's really not a great deal of difference between them in choosing the parameter to automate, it's still basically click or move and bang, there it is!pdxindy wrote: I agree with you...If you have to look at a massive list, better to have some control of it... Hey, I don't mind some arguing... Maybe I misunderstood, but it sounds like you have to open a dialog window and activate a parameter in Reaper no?Teezdalien wrote:Hmmm... not trying to argue with you as I use both reaper and live, and yes it's easy with live but there's really not a great deal of difference between them in choosing the parameter to automate, it's still basically click or move and bang, there it is!pdxindy wrote: I agree with you...If you have to look at a massive list, better to have some control of it... Yes you're right, I just don't find it to be that big a deal for me. And besides it's much easier to find the list of all parameters than it is in live. I've had trouble with automating some plug-ins in live, where I couldn't automate the parameter I wanted without resorting to the macros as a workaround. I've never had that with reaper, but hey I'm getting way off topic now.pdxindy wrote: Hey, I don't mind some arguing... And back to Lush...
With the PWM it looks like you can only go from 50% to 100%, but not from 50% down to 0%... Is there some not so obvious way I've missed?
Also, especially with the BP Filter, the volume is rather low... Even with the osc volume at max and the layer volume at max it is still rather quiet... so I turned Master volume to max as well to get it up to about -6
I mentioned it in an earlier post, but you cannot close the filter with an envelop. Modulation is only in the + not - direction.
It can be done by inverting the envelop, but that is clumsy cause it is still only opening the filter so the filter doesn't start from where you have it set... and that means that the env is inverted for every parameter it modulates
Likewise, if I have PW set to close to 100%, the envelop cannot close it on attack...
I miss a delay parameter in the LFO
When I play a polyphonic sound I made, even though the amp env 1 release is set to 0, playing a quick run of notes hits the cpu hard, even though each note ends the instant I release the note. So even though there are no overlapping notes, the cpu acts as if there are

Ahhh... I don't have a plug-in I use that I cannot just tweak... I have not looked at a list in a long time... well, since Live got rid of the 128 parameter limit!Teezdalien wrote:Yes you're right, I just don't find it to be that big a deal for me. Try inserting the Decimator insert and turning the preamp up. This works really well with fattening up the LP filter at high resonance too.pdxindy wrote: Also, especially with the BP Filter, the volume is rather low... Hmm this is working fine here. Start with the default patch. Turn the cutoff to zero, the Env 1 mod to maximum, set env 1 sustain and release to zero, adjust attach and decay, it should close the filter down to zero.pdxindy wrote:I mentioned it in an earlier post, but you cannot close the filter with an envelop. This is also working here. Start with default patch again, set saw wave to zero, square wave to maximum, push the PW to 85%, PWM to 50%, source to Env1, set S and R on env1 to 0, turn A up to 50%pdxindy wrote:Likewise, if I have PW set to close to 100%, the envelop cannot close it on attack...

Had another go, tried to route channel pressure to LFO 1 frequency, didn't work.
Leaving aside the cumbersome access to the mod matrix and its glaring limitations, this is really baffling. This synth doesn't want me, and I'll finally leave it at that. Sorry for the negativity, but it's just a reflection of my disappointment, especially after having had very high hopes for LuSH.

I still can't hear "stepping". I hear filter going through various octaves just like in any other synthAiynzahev wrote:Oh at high resonance.
