Thank you for the re-up, M4M :D.
So... after watching it... Is it all we have yet? Just some shy fx polishing ?
And what about new features ?
We want more leaks !
:D

Post

Nice updates to the FX, now I want to know the rest of them (instruments and to the DAW) itself.

Also a new copy protection and a linux version would be great! (Or it would be if I could upgrade :hihi: :hihi: )

Post

a new copy protection, why, it works perfectly the way it is
i would wish for dual and + monitor support, but that wont happen :(

Doubt there will ever be a Linux version, or if I would be the CFO of Ableton I would say a big no -- no market.

Seems legit.

VST Reviews and Peter Kirn pretty quick to pick it up.

Ableton forum was going crazy and the mods deleted a thread.

Pretty exciting stuff!!

All I care about with ableton 9:
  • 1. Fix the plugin delay compensation (especially with automation)
    2. More flexible routing. I should be able to easily route the audio from my kickdrum to a third party side chain compressor (like Pro-C).
    3. Totally 64-bit, with 32 bit bridge.

The most informative summary I've seen is here:

Since they're already making Live 8 64-bit native, it's safe to assume that Live 9 is going to be 64-bit compatible.

Or maybe 63-bit, with an option to upgrade to 64-bit at a specially reduced price for loyal customers.

Listen to this guy, the glue compressor and that stuff is cool, but these are serious issues that are basic to any production software, these are a total priority, PROPER DELAY COMPENSATION and 64 BIT, these 2 things MUST be fixed in 9.
