When i finally got my audio setup working was when my headphones decided to stop working. I currently have some phillips oneil "the stretch" headphones (awesome for the price, check em out) but after about 6 months of carrying them everywhere and using them in my studio they finnaly broke(not really broke but I have to bend the cord to make audio come out of both sides). Now im looking for a better pair and i am kinda down on money so i dont have a lot to spend. I am not a noob so feel free to give me technical details (im not an audio technician either so dont try to give me a bunch of details no one understands to show off).

Save up and get Audio-Technica MTH50's
Seriously... you wont know until you try them, and you wont regret it until you buy a cheaper pair then discover these a year later.

Good recommendation, but i was serious about the money. I am only 13 and it takes me forever to earn cash (my dad only gives me $1 to mow our lawn which is about 3 acres(exxaderation intended exept for the $1 part)).vaisnava wrote:Save up and get Audio-Technica MTH50's

The best advice that I can give is that you won't find decent headphones for creating music in that price range. Save your money for something with greater quality.

Can't vouch for them myself, but you could look into these:

Also, there are some recommendations here:

Can be repaired. Find a friend with a soldering iron, costs nothing at all.Lazerbacon766 wrote:not really broke but I have to bend the cord to make audio come out of both sides

I always keep a pair of Sennheiser PX 200 II's in my bag, slightly bass heavy but surprisingly decent sound isolation and a nicely balanced sound.

My old ones ("the stretch") are $32 on amazon and were twice as good as my friends beats solos.manducator wrote:The best advice that I can give is that you won't find decent headphones for creating music in that price range. Save your money for something with greater quality.

For mixing, open-style (versus closed-style for live tracking without mic bleed) usually gives a flatter response. I swear by the Yamaha RH-5Ma. I switched to them for mixing from my AKG K-240s, and my mixes instantly improved in the bass. They're $50 at Amazon, on-ear comfortable enough to wear all day, and built like tanks.

This. Buy headphones once. Buy cheap and sooner or later you'll want to upgrade.vaisnava wrote:Save up and get Audio-Technica MTH50's
