Momentary switch turning a sound on

I'm currently using Cantabile 2 with my Alesis Fusion keyboard as my controller. I want to setup a momentary switch to bring in a sound. So, I'm setting up a midi controller assignment to Latch a Suspend On/Off event for the VST in question. This works but does the opposite of what I want. When I press the foot switch I want to "activate" the sound not disable it. . . If I change the polarity of the foot pedal then it will work right with Cantabile but not with other things I have setup on the Fusion. I'm new to Cantabile so, what's the best way to configure a foot switch to active a sounds, and have that configuration change from Sub-session to Sub-session?

No, I've just been working with the MIDI Controller Assignments. . . I'll have to try that out when I get home. Do you have any idea what action that would be. . . to suspend the plugin? Right now I have a MIDI Controller Assignment that will control the volume of the plugin from the footswitch. That works pretty well, but I'd rather suspend the program and just "turn it on" with the momentary foot switch.rconine wrote:Did you consider a Trigger with a custom event? I've only been using Cantabile a few weeks, but I've played with routing a lot.
