The one thing to point out with Melodyne, it's not just Audio-To-MIDI but where you can change the audio to any Scale of any Key and the individual notes that you want before it goes to MIDI.Keef Baker wrote: And the pitch to midi stuff... well, that saves me buying melodyne DNA cos thats what i wanted it for.
Hopefully Albeton 9 is able (no pun intended) to allow changing of Scales and Keys of scales within Ableton 9 as well, if not, Melodyne is still your best bet.
The reason I mention changing at the DAW level too is, you'd kill the workflow if you have to go back to Melodyne again and have to change or experiment with Scales/Keys for an audio and then have to create another MIDI file to put into your DAW again.
You'd want to be able to start with Melodyne but stay creative in your DAW like this.
