Not a bad price normally its over £70 in english.
Acording to microsofts site one of its features is running it with win 7 desktop layout.

It seems Microsoft has a boner for touchscreen technology.

There's always supposed to be a "fish" option. Without a fish option this is not a scientifically rigorous poll.

I'm upgrading my Windows 7 64-bit laptop right now. It's not my main DAW but I'll like to see how it feels. Btw, got the upgrade for $14.99 (well + VAT in Sweden) since I bought the laptop after 1st of July 2012

Well, let's see what happens...

Here are your answers

1) Never go with windows 1.0 anything. You are fool for doing it until SP1.
2) You're on windows? Dude, OSX is where all the cool kids are these days.
3) Pros never touch their working system until they have thoroughly tested the new stuff out on a test system.
4) You're a pussy if you don't just do it. Don't even do a backup.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

WOW, not sure if his test is reliable. If it is, I most probably will never ever upgrade to Win8.

when windows 8 was about to come out, the first review i saw had the headline "windows 8 will be great for tablets but will cripple desktop users" Personally ill probably be using windows 7 for about 5 more years :D :hihi: :hihi:

I'm hoping newegg's deals on Windows-7 Pro OEM continues the next couple of months, I missed several "sales" last month.

Going to cover at least three builds, in case Xp Pro gets crippled any further.

fwiw: every review I read the past month or so, which was "enthusiastic" was when the one offering it was a non-geek, non-overclocker/power-user.

It was invariably people who LIKE having everything Microsoft-centric, e.g. Outlook, Office, Windows Live, etc.. "Media Center" types, where everything is where MS tells them it should be... The MS equivalent of "iTunes" people.

I'm not that guy.

You're assuming it will survive until a SP1 release. If this is what Windows future will look like, hello Mac/Linux, here I come :?

You know what, you're spot on. Just the thought of it made me a little bit throw up in my mouth.

I have been using Win8 for a month.
Just wanted to try it and now i cant turn back.
I really cant understand all the negativity? Its faster, more stable and smarter than previous windows.

But i guess its still "cool" to "hate" stuff on the internet...
