Hello to KVR members,
Here is the link to my first Android App. I did all aspect of the app and i've released it two days ago. I've finished the trailer this afternoon. It was a really funny experiment to go in a style far from my electro beats. I will be honnest that in the delay, i used some piano loops and build on them to create the soundtrack of my game. For the one interested, it can be download for free as there's a free version with ADs, if you prefer and want to give me some support there is a paid version at a really low price. I did a big part of sound effects in the game but also, combined some i did on my own and some i get from a website where you can use samples by giving them credits.
I did all the audio work in Live Ableton with the loops, Mashine Mikro, and some VST. I recorded voices and some noises/fx with an IRig mike on an iPad.

Could you explain your requested permissions please? (in the market description would be even better). From what's in your description, I can understand why you'd want sdcard access but not record audio, read phone identity or full network access.
The combo of read phone identity + full network access always puts me on guard for something that's ad free..

Hi SingleCell,
Internet connection is for the internet links add in the app.
Record audio is enabled by the library as i should have offer users to record audio in the app, but it might be a future update.
Sccard is for the users to choose where to store the app.
Device reading current state is to know how to behave in case the device is a mobilephone where you can receive a phonecall, and know what to do with the behavior's app.

I'm not sure if you mean the app has ads or that it can launch a webpage, either way, if this is the paid version, it shouldn't have ads and you don't need internet permission to launch the web browser, you just ask Android to open the URL and it will launch my web browser.7fanB wrote: Internet connection is for the internet links add in the app.
You don't need to have my phone info in order to pause when a phone call comes in, this is built into Android. Hi Single cell,
I will just make a short description of who i'm. I'm an Art Director, and i use Corona SDK with Kwik an software which allow me to script/code interactions. All is done at high level, and honnestly i'm not a prog. You seem to know better than me, well. I'm just a freelance, and recently laid down from a company who tried to start his own activity, i won't ask for pity, but the only thing i feels now (maybe you don't feels this way) it'S that you're doing bad noises around my app and me. It's sad, i don't blame you, i just feel as sad and wondering why if it don't please you why you don't get away from the app if it don't please you.
I made lot of test with kids, adults to check and do, re-do, re-do any time to make it finer and pleasing to kids, what many people are telling and not only to be kind to me. I want honnest advices, i'm ready to edit and correct bugs as fast as i can, but honnestly again in my skills i will do what i can and i already did 3 updates since it launches.
Singlecell, i ask you in a friendly way to stay clean with me, have in mind what i told before. There are many craps in both stores as for Android than IOS, i hope to make an app which for the while doesn't belongs to those as if it doesn't have enough publicity to people.

I never attribute malice what can be attributed to ignorance and in this case, it seems like those permissions are a requirement of the 3rd party SDK you're using (they are pretty common for ad networks), but I'm sure if you're not serving ads, they can be disabled through the SDK. I'd rather pay for a nice app (I think your app is worth more than 1$ btw), and not deal with what some unknown code is doing with my personal data, which is why most paid versions of apps remove these permissions.
I'm sorry if my questions upset you, I didn't mean to pick on you. I just assumed you wrote the code that required those permissions and could shed some light. When you replied with misinformation, it looked like you were hiding something. Now that I know you didn't do so intentionally, it's all good.
I'm not trying to make your app look bad, everyone knows Android needs more high quality apps and yours looks absolutely gorgeous. I'll buy it anyway, my son will love the pumpkin maker, but I'll run it on my tablet, not my phone

Your remarks pointed me out some elements, i will search for. I'm not a prog and found a combination of tools which allow me to release simple app. I plan to extand my knowledge, maybe my tools to keep on producing some apps.
I hope your son enjoy the app, and more, many more users too.

Hi,
Just to share with you that the app was featured in second position in the SDK website. I feel it help in some as the trailer had a boost in views. I'm proud to share that and without KVR, my knowledge in audio prod would not be at my current level, even if i still need to learn many things.
