Hi,
I have the feeling like the best way to go for my midi control setup might be the use of an Ipad.
I have been testing TouchOSC. I like the interface but the wifi connection is a great source of problems and weakness to go for it.
I would never go on stage with such an inconsistent communication between the controller and the laptop.
It looks like this application is not going to be Usb soon ( via the camera kit).
Is there a recommended application for my use ?
thanks a lot,
Luca

I use an IK iRig MIDI for getting MIDI in and out of the iPad. Works a treat
Actually I was wondering earlier if IK will release a new iRig with the Apple Thunderbolt connector that the new iPad mini has. But the existing one, with the standard iOS device dock connector, works with all current iOS devices as far as I'm aware.

Touchosc works fine via the cck & a class compliant midi interface/cable.unguitar wrote:Hi,

Nothing works or ever will using the cck alone.

I see,
I will get the CCK tomorrow and check how things work.
Too bad Touch OSC cannot use CCK to send midi out, I think its interface is really well made.
One last thing: I don't want to control any midi instrument directly, just want to send control and program changes to my laptop's Daw ( Audiomulch).
thanks a lot !

You can use it without the CCK, and it supplies power to the iPad as well.
