Sure it is kinda sloppy to post the wrong price, but you know what? Some people got it cheaper than they would have otherwise. In other words, some users made out well, nobody got screwed and Ableton lost money.

You haven't been wronged and have nothing to complain about...

What was it before and what did it change to? Last price I saw on my account was US$848, and that's what it is now.

Well, it's the principle. You don't do things like that, if you do a mistake you give a grace period and hike up the price after that. The whole Ableton Live 9 pricing scheme is a big mystery, mess and otherwise a moving target as we speak.

I noted it was €649 yesterday and last I checked it was €698, I think. But it's not available to buy anyway so that's by the by. Just doesn't seem to have anything directly to do with what they said the error was, if you see what I mean.

It's not on sale a for a few months so yes of course the price may change. Nobody is getting ripped off.

It's not a price "hike", and they don't need to give a "grace period". You are seriously abusing those terms.

What do you care if they change the price? It's not even available yet. It's not like you are on a contract to buy one a month and they've increased the price.

So far this week we have learned that the Ableton Live 9 pricing and 8 upgrades have changed every day. It's not hard to predict that this might happen next week, too. Let's see when the MFL users realize that their upgrade pricing is dismal.

new product announced, not for sale yet. 3/4 of the posts are about upgrade pricing, and numbers changing on a web page, and not features of the software? sounds reasonable.

"so far this week" you mean since yesterday when Live 9 was announced? take some deep breaths and let them out. it's not available yet.

I knew I should have bought it this morning, but things are a little tight till pay day.

The upgrade to Suite 8 is still a steal, considering it includedes a free upgrade to 9 and M4L (for Live 9)

if you're me, a no brainer really.

and Push, like I said earlier, I hope to get it the day it comes out
