There isn't any link function built in that I know of. Would be nice.Kindred wrote:this might seem like a simple question however - how do you set it up so that you can link 2 layers so that if you tweak the filter it applies to both? The issue I am having is that with all these layered sounds, when you tweak one of them there are phasing issues - this would be resolved by a link function - I am sure it is there but I can't find it

The only way around this currently is to assign the same controller to the different parameters you want to control. But I agree that a more elegant solution would be most welcome.Kindred wrote:this might seem like a simple question however - how do you set it up so that you can link 2 layers so that if you tweak the filter it applies to both? are you saying that they made the pitch drift like an out of tune 101? should i avoid v1.0.1?musikmachine wrote:Same pitch issue here...himalaya wrote:Our cheeky boys at D16 have done something to the latest Lush demo...the pitch goes all over the place after a while. I'm not sure if I want to laugh or scream blue murder...?!
Also, it appears that the solo buttons for all layers do not work. What's the trick?

It's more like the Zebra demo, i guess it's the demo timing out. http://www.d16.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2344ford442 wrote:are you saying that they made the pitch drift like an out of tune 101? should i avoid v1.0.1?musikmachine wrote:Same pitch issue here...himalaya wrote:Our cheeky boys at D16 have done something to the latest Lush demo...the pitch goes all over the place after a while. ohhh.. ok.. i have been behind the times since i cut my hand 2 weeks ago... thanks for clearing that up - the main reason that i want LuSH to replace my 101 is that the old analog takes 20 mins to warm - then tune by hand - then hope it doesn't drift - then anticipate drift on other octaves - hand tune accordingly.. heh..

Although, I am 100% convinced that one instance of this pitch modulation has happened within several minutes of me loading/using Lush-101.musikmachine wrote: It's more like the Zebra demo, i guess it's the demo timing out. http://www.d16.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2344

Anyway...I think Lush-101 is perfect for very characterful analog-style pads. Four layers all set up in a similar vein, but with several variations (different panning, cutoff, PWM rate, etc):
Lush-101 layer 'analog' pad
(No processing or effects of any kind).

The nice thing with this layer system is you could have a gorgeous 4 voice pad like the one Himalaya posted, then use the 5th layer as a monophonic arp that just picks out certain notes of the chord rhythmically. I tend not to use arps since I figure we're making music concrete here, why not just program the notes and have more control, but in this case, the layers and arp/gate really enourage you to try things you wouldn't normally think of.

thanks for all the replies - hopefully there is a fix or workaround. I find the same problem with the PolyAna demo I tried - messing with one of the filters puts the whole sound of of whack..
