Very nice update. Seems a bit shaky. But still like it.

Shaky how? In term of stability or something else? I really hope this update addresses the tempo/export issues, as I'd love to be able to start reliably using DM1 created drum parts in my tracks.

Ehhhh......still like Nanostudio and BM2 for my drums. I need at least 12-16 pads and the ability to name the pads, as well as configure where they go. A "group" function would have been nice....nothing I dislike more than hitting the hihat closed, open, closed....and still hear the open hat ringing out.
Rock On!

I've had this app on my iPad for some time and finally started exploring it this morning. This thing is cool. Can't wait to see what future updates bring, but this is an easy program for killer beats. Just started digging in to all the kits available. Wow. Great sounds. I just wish I can audio copy and paste into beatmaker 2 now. Between DM1, Alchemy, Sunrizer, Magellan, Animoog, and some samples, I could go to all finished live sets on Beatmaker 2's drum sampler and my Korg padkontrol.

hmm, disappointing that they haven't implanted MIDI sync yet.

It's coming.
We just need to be patient. I believe the next update with new features will include this.

Hello. I am new to DM1 after buying it last night. I have had a play and I made my first track and tried exporting it to Dropbox. DM1 has created the folder inside my Dropbox but nothing uploads to it. I can xport the tracks via email, so I know the function works and it's connecting to Dropbox as it created the DM1 folder. Why is nothing actually appearing in my folder ? Its not a space issue as I have all 2.0 GB free as there is nothing else in my Dropbox. I have tried exporting as a song and a pattern but nothing in my Dropbox DM1 folder appears. Even after half an hour.
I am having to export everything via email but I'd rather they sit in Dropbox for re uploading etc. can anyone else offer any opinion or help as to what I am doing wrong please.
Specs and tech:-
A new Dropbox account - lots of free space
DM1 has created the Apps Folder, inside there is DM1 and inside there, says its empty after about ten upload attempts.
Running this on iOS6 on the new A6X chip retina iPad.
Thank you for your help

I have been trying to use DM1 with my MIDI hardware recently and it does sync to external MIDI clock just fine, but (just like so many other iOS music apps out there) it is vastly out of sync. Is that what you're referring to?Crabshack wrote:afair they promissed Midi sync in this update....was waiting for that one.Hope it doesn't take much longer to implement it.Anyway, very good update.I appreciate it.
The only two apps I can reliably sync to an external MIDI clock are MoDrum and Bassline which sync in time perfectly, so I don't think it's my setup.
Beatmaker 2 is way out of sync too but at least it includes a MIDI latency setting (from 0 to 100ms) that you can adjust to get it nearer to something useable.
Is anyone else having these problems with MIDI clock generally? I am wondering whether it's because my hardware MIDI is all chained using MIDI leads, and the iPad is connected with USB MIDI straight into my interface. I guess it could be introducing some lag. I'm wondering whether using a USB to MIDI adapter for the iPad (or the iRig MIDI) might improve these timing issues. But then why would two apps be fine and the others not work??

I press play in FL Studio (my sync output settings are fine), but DM1 doesn't start playing. So there's no sync at all!iDesignSound wrote:and it does sync to external MIDI clock just fine
