Re: the arduino vid: That looks like way too much pressure for long term use. Look at the guy's face and his gasping. :-/

I'm in also.
Just a thought: Wivi has incorporated into his iphone app.
I had to blow in to the mic, it was funny but it was difficult to controll it well.

Arturia's keyboard THE LABORATORY 61 has breath controller input:

It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

I have started making a Wind Controller Vsti for windows. It is nice to implement breath control features from the beginning instead of workarounds through patches. However it is difficult to build the features from scratch. I figured I would give you all a sneak peek. I still am planning on adding a modulation matrix distortion and possibly another fx to this rompler. If anybody has an idea or suggestion I will try to add it.
Here is a screenshot so far I have a nice little rompler that uses SF2 files as roms.

Just signed, now it is 475.
MadmanST: great job! Maybe it is a good idea for you to include a brief description and the petition link on what we are trying to achieve every few bumps as someone had pointed out earlier the bumped post get pushed to the front, and not the first post so people may just be too lazy to go find out more about what's going on.
Maybe also include a link to the first post?

Hey! It was the first post on this new page!
Hmmmm... not very good with using this quote thingy....(by MadmanST)
We need 1000 signatures to petition Yamaha to bring back into production the Yamaha BC3A Breath Controller.
You need one of these to do any type of work with Brass and Woodwind synths or sample/physical modeling with your keyboard. They also add a lot of expression to your other synths.
Nobody else makes a breath controller. They are hard to find and very rarely come up on craigslist or ebay.

UPDATE
The BC3A is a headset that connects directly to Yamaha DX7 and EX synths. There's a picture and info on the ipetition site. Midi Solutions made an adapter box that would connect it to any synth via midi.

Hey, great find. Let us know how good it is. Curious to find out how it handles air flow (or just pressure) and moisture (hope it is not possible this gets into the USB slot
)

I plan on using a usb cable extender to keep moisture away from pc and shorting the breath tube. Another reason 1 meter equal 3ms latency due to air pressure speed.

100€ seems a bit much for that, with a need for a USB extension to keep spit moisture away from the port and no headset. Looks like another tough to blow tube, too.

I think I will just use a 5x3x2 project box from radio shack and make a proper two tube system like the ewi usb. One tube for moisture one for clean air. With hose clamps, project box, Velcro tape and one brass fitting for outer connection should run me about 20 more USD that's a total cost of 165 dollars for a midi breath controller .
Did I mention I can't wait to not have to use my ewi usb for a breath controller. Hopefully the sensor is responsive that's all that really matters to me everything else can be fixed somewhat easily.
