Oh, the demo is a separate download? (Why does anybody do it that way?)

you didn't download the demo installer by the sounds of things.
on the LX122 download page, click on the "Check out the demo!" link at the top.

Alright, got it going. Meh.

Growl is not there at all. Such an important part of the original. Not making me want to switch from the one in VB3.

Kind of neat that there's Doppler effect when you move the mics though.

Very elegant review, especially coming from a developer with competing products with our synthesizer offer .... 8)

I've played on many Leslies over years, and I find the LX series very faithfull. Other real Leslie players think the same btw. Its very easy with that unit to recreate the sound heard on thousands of records of great organ players. I'd encourage people to replay the Organ parts they hear on the tracks they love and see they can get the same warm and immersive sound.

I've played real Leslies and this ain't it. The one in VB3 is far better, IMHO. (And I'm not even that crazy about that one, though the organ-sim is right on.)

And I don't have any competing products with this. At least not yet. Just because I produce software, am I not entitled to an opinion? What exactly are you accusing me of?

And there's only so much I can do with the demo which won't allow me to toggle the speed from MIDI. But of course, I played clean organ through it, and it didn't sound right. Like I said, real Leslie's growl. (At least the original, tube variety.)

If someone likes it, then like it. I however, don't.

I'd love to hear your opinion on it's GUI!

No particular complaints, it seemed readily workable. But I don't let my eyes tell my ears what to think about a plug-in, I'd never reject a good sounding process based on an awkward or ugly GUI.

Would definitely recommend enabling MIDI control in the demo though. Rather hard to demo, otherwise.

We prefer this demo mode to a demo mode "that makes occasional silent gaps in the audio output" ( Quoted from your site ) Eventually unpleasant when demoing a synthesizer. But eventually better than .... a 7 days demo version, wich was your previous take on the demo thing iirc, so I wish you to have made a good move with this one. 8)

Our demo versions are not time limited. And dont make silent gaps.

Like you said : To each its own.. I'm in no position to give you any advice about how to rule your world. Nor would I want to do it btw

As I also have a lot of experience with real analog synthesizers ( Actually I still have many in my studio), but I wont gratify your users with a comparison with your units. See, we respect certain things in our world .......

Have you compared LX122 with the leslie on amplitube?
I've just done a very quick comparison..
1) A phrase played on the VB3, using its own Leslie
2) The same phrase, same VB3, but with the Leslie switched off, and LX122 inserted on the output of VB3
3) Same as #2, but with Guitar Rig 5 (needed a bit of beefing up, so the chain is.. Cat Distortion>Rotator Cabinet>Rotator
4) Same as #2, but with Amplitube 3 (also a bit disappointing without added drive)..ProDrive>Leslie cabinet.
I didn't take the time to try to match them all up, just did my best to get each one sounding ;).

I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.
