Hmmm... I wonder how many of those "kiddies" will be blowing-out their ears, or at least headphone speakers, when they start mindlessly making pretty squiggly lines in the window of Wave Designer.rlahalla wrote:Yeah, it wasn't an actual crack. LOL, I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that, heheShabdahbriah wrote:Hmmm... Think we found the UI mis-alignment issue in Orion and FLStudio. Stay tuned, I'll make sure to update everyone as soon as it's all set

Also, I'm thinking of creating an 'Alchemy-Only' version (thanks VitaminD) that would be slightly cheaper, but _only_ export to Alchemy's OSC and LFO format. Is this something that would be welcome?

A little request: could you add an instant extend length into LFO-range button? You know, for Vaz Modular and other softies that can use a wav file simply as a modulation source. Or, if it's as simple as multiplying a "normal" length with 100 I guess I can just add a couple of zeroes myself (if the number of samples stretches up to that kind of length presently)...

I'm not sure I entirely understand your request - usually when a wave is being used as a mod source, the supporting synth usually requires the waveform to be created with a certain number of samples. In that case, you can just go into the export screen and adjust the number of samples that WD exports at. I might be misunderstanding you though..V-GER wrote:A little request: could you add an instant extend length into LFO-range button? In Vaz Modular soundsources and modulationsources are interchangable, I mean to use a sample playback module (which requires no specific length, it plays back most anything you throw at it - with looping if you tell it too) routed into modulating something - a button that would increase the length just the right time for a "normal oscillator" type waveform to go into LFO range. I'm sure I can look up the number of samples required to make waveforms at certain frequencies when played back as "normal" samples (pretty much the frequency they'd have if you loop the whole thing and play it back in a regular audioeditor or somesuch software), I just don't know where.. And I personally think doing it at the push of a button would be convenient, first I could export for oscillator purposes and in some cases do an extra export for LFO range use after just pushing that button.rlahalla wrote:I'm not sure I entirely understand your request - usually when a wave is being used as a mod source, the supporting synth usually requires the waveform to be created with a certain number of samples. Did that make sense?

Nevermind, BertKoors MusicCalc tells me everything I need to know.
Why didn't anyone say that?
Excited about the UI issue hopefully being fixed soon, spinning some loose ideas in my mind til then..

Yep, it did indeed make sense, but what I would have to do is find out each synth that supports LFO type of mod via waveform and implement the exact sample length. AFAIK Alchemy and apparently VAZ are two of the only synths that support single-cycle waveforms as LFO/Mod sources. Let me check into it and I'll see if we can make a pre-defined VAZ preset in the export screen specifically for that purposeV-GER wrote:In Vaz Modular soundsources and modulationsources are interchangable, I mean to use a sample playback module (which requires no specific length, it plays back most anything you throw at it - with looping if you tell it too) routed into modulating something - a button that would increase the length just the right time for a "normal oscillator" type waveform to go into LFO range. So, also looking for feedback on weather synth-specific versions (Alchemy, Corona, etc.) at a lower cost would be a good move. If you think it would be beneficial to you or otherwise, please let me know.

Hmm, not sure. As it is, I haven't had much trouble importing the wav files into Alchemy using the utility that can be found on the Camel Audio website in the user section. I think it would be great and convenient, I just would hate to see you use up too much development time.rlahalla wrote:So, also looking for feedback on weather synth-specific versions (Alchemy, Corona, etc.) at a lower cost would be a good move. Honestly, the first thing I would love to see, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, is that you enter a formula, and then you can alter the output of the formula with the node editor.
Hope that's useful, and thanks for the work on Wave Designer, it's great!

In which case, I say at the very least make an Alchemy version. I'll be honest, I'd be glad to have Wave Designer export directly into Alchemy's format, as it would save an additional step, and if that's a way you can increase revenue, do it.
