Excellent though must admit slightly surprised.

I guess I didn't appreciate how varied the voting would be, quite a diverse crowd then. :)
Well I'd expect each product's dev to give their own product a 5!
Y'know, maybe I'm a saint or something but it never crossed my mind to vote for my own entry.

But thanks for the idea! :hihi:

i'm kind of double posting here, but i think it's warranted. i just uploaded new installers for my set which should fix the effects so that they actually work now. i mentioned this in my support thread also, but i want to make sure i can get plenty of people to see it.

Crackbaby wrote:Could you please explain how the oscillators work? There's arrows to four different waveforms ... is it all at once or can i pick one somehow?
The drawings in T-C-M GUI are just an indication of the available shapes like in the ARP Odyssey/2600. The actual OSC shape selection is done from the source selection at the bottom on the Mixer section.

MFXxx wrote:Maxwell Smart - struck me as rather clever. Nice loudness for lifting the signal, fairly warm sounding and nice transients (I think that's the correct way to describe it). Fairly transparent. Nice.
Thank you for your interest on Maxwell Smart! It's my first publicly released VST-plugin and any comments are more than welcome. Just finished doing some bugfixes and updated it to v. 1.01.

I think you're right. Listing zamplers features is a bit off imho, not something the entrant created himself.
Its not new either, only the sfz is new. It shouldnt be bundled. Bit of a con.

It could just be MiniHost that is faulty... but Flame not loading in Reaper too, well who knows?
Just tested on two different computers and seems to be working fine in both hosts here for me. Is it reproducible for you?

With Flame, what does Delay Fb do? Could you give me an example on how to use it? (ie, what happens when i send audio to it

Also, am i the only one who seems to have trouble with the modules? I route the exact same thing for left and right channels and yet it sometimes only end up in the right or left one? Maybe im just messing up .. who knows :shrug:

If you haven't played around with it, do it! I superlove this one :lol:

Edit, i figured the Delay Fb out .. i think :)

In->Delay
Delay->Crusher
Crusher->Delay Fb
Crusher->Out

If you just want a standard delay, remove the ones with Crusher and set
In-Delay
Delay->Delay Fb
Delay->Out

I think that's how you do it! Now... sending the 1's into the 2's and back ... requires some thinking to get it right :lol:

U-NO-LX sounds fantastic with a 8/12 bit delay :D A low samplingrate gives a nice sizzle.
It's not the easiest plugin to get your grips on, but it's very rewarding :)

Maybe the order in the matrix matters..? :? Gimme a manual :lol:

Delay FB is the delay's feedback pathway. This means you can patch modules into the delay's feedback, e.g route the delay's output into a filter and then the filter's output into delay fb for a dub delay. Or instead of a filter, you could use the crusher to bit crush the dealy's feedback.

Or you could route the output of delay one into the feedback of delay 2, and the output of delay 2 into the feedback of delay 1 for a cross-delay effect. There are lots of possibilities :)

There is a manual in the download, although admittedly it isn't very detailed. I am happy to answer any questions though or provide examples of different effects / patches :)

How would you make a cross delay or a ping pong delay? (i read the manual now .. i always forget checking the folders :oops:)

Here is a cross delay

Code: Select all

In1 -> Delay1
In2 -> Delay2
Delay1 -> Delay Fb 2
Delay2 -> Delay Fb 1
Delay1 -> Out1
Delay2 -> Out2
There is an example cross delay preset included too, hope this helps :)

THanks! Just before i read your post i managed to do it ... *somehow* .. I think Delay1->Delay2
Delay2->Delay1
was what made it. Once you almost filled the matrix it gets hard to remember exactly what doing what and where :lol:

Does the order matter at all? Does it go through slot 1, then slot 2 etc?

I also modulated the pan (from 50/50 to -100/+100) with the envelope so that when there's no input the delay is mono, but when there's input the delay is pushed out to the sides leaving space for the synth :)

Here's a little audiofile showcasing it!

Cool! thanks for the example :)

I agree that it can look complicated when the matrix is full but if Flame is successful in DC12 then I have ideas for how to improve that for future versions.

There is an internal processing order to the matrix but it is calculated per sample so that feedback loops etc should only end up with a latency of one sample.
