Ah, in for a penny...

Here's a more recent piece. Based on a loop processed through Cubase's LoopMash and then fed through Tim Exile's The Mouth, with drum and synth overdubs.

The melody is carried by both guitar and elektro-baglama (a Turkish instrument, a little like a lute, which I bought in Izmir about 15 years ago).

Bu şarkıyı bir doğu günbatımı karakteri var

Çok iyi

Nice, but I'm used to hear more percussion on Turkish songs... (Yes, I really listen to Turkish music, from time to time... :) )

Well, it isn't really meant to be Turkish per se, just a hint of it. Nice to throw in the odd quarter tone :) Actually, I have some Turkish stuff with a lot _less_ percussion. Hmm, I think I've decided what I'm going to put on in the car on the way to work this morning ;)

(I don't actually speak Turkish BTW, but I do know a few Turks. Trying to pick it up, but not really getting anywhere - language was never my strong suit!)

This piece does have a related track, also electronic rock with the baglama.
