When I win the lottery and can afford this?

Until then, I'll be sticking with the "close enough" ones :hihi:

Touché! :hihi:

I love my ibbys, even the ones I won't keep because I don't keep everything :D

The indo ones are pretty good. I have my "twins" (which are kinda cheapo "presitge" which I got for a little over a grand FOR BOTH) and then the one "true" prestige (remember, swimming pool blue :) )

But I'll prolly end up selling most of them someday just because that is what I do

Speaking of the SPB one, time to pull that out of the case and do the fret eraser thing to........works so nicely! MUCH better than SW........

The Dimarzio and EMG loaded pickguards are surprisingly well-priced.

My personal favorite is the HS loaded pickguard, which is the Yngwie Malmsteen set with the amazing HS-3 in the bridge:

If you want a vintage sound, the Area set matches the different eras of vintage Fender single coils to their most suitable positions:

Finally, the Paul Gilbert Injector set has a cool combination of bite and power that I haven't heard anywhere else:

Yeah, I've looked at those.. and Musicians's Friend takes Paypal.. it's terribly tempting! Best to go home, jam out, and then sleep on it before I do something I won't regret! :-o

Yeah I agree mate, They sound fantastic for aggressive tasteful (If that makes sense?). Best way I can describe them. Also usually I never even have much good to say about a P90 so tis a rarity but then again so is Paul Gilbert

Re: Henry Ford :tu: Amen...It just works (Even a White option perhaps. I have a soft spot for White with Black hardware as all the shades of Henry Ford need contrast) :D

Oh and btw, There are going to be a duo of Bare Knuckle Aftermath's in the bridge of both one Paul's guitars and my guitars in the shock horror regular ceramic magnet format before the year's out. Heard a demo and dialled the same sound in within five minutes if that when I tried again based on this demo clip: - It could be the contender for sole humbucker setup. If you can try one yourself and obviously the price not add up for a budget 7-string Eric as the tone pot without any splitting covers everything I could want/need in a single bridge unit for clean to shred with bags of clarity no matter how down-tuned. Anyway just another angle to consider and all just my very humble honest opinion of course. Nice one my friend

All the best to all as always :)

Yeah, I'd love to try some bare knuckles someday. I think there is like one place in the US that distributes and iirc they never have much in stock. Shame. I suffer with dimarzios.....for now :)

I just pulled a guitar out of it's case that's been there maybe a month? Point: It's SO BAD! So, if it's like that here in a sealed case, I can't imagine what other go through :scared:

I've also still really got to put some work into one of the twins. Saw this recently:

other than the obvious sales pitch for the "conditioner" I really need to do this to the back of the neck. So that will be tomorrow's chore. The neck for some reason has become really sticky. Not dirty, but just sticky. I've tried SW and it's not really doing it so.......

Just had the Pod HD 500 delivered today and software upgrades are happening right now...I expect to go deaf playing with the JTV 59 Variax and the DT50 212 over the next few days....
I never knew that Line 6 owned Reason...
I might take a look at it :-)
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

Alas, as this is a new venture and all that, we've got to go with the name brands. If I do go the name brand route (which is seeming likely, I liked your point about the neck pickup), it'll be a Dimarzio John Petrucci Signature Crunchlab 7 in the bridge. I can't think of anything more name brand than that.

Line 6 distributes Reason in the US, they don't own it or Propellerhead.
