I meant "technical" information though.

If they come around with some -which they claim- amazing, "psycho acoustic" (another overused marketing buzzword today), new synth concepts, I'd like to know, what they are actually talking about.
Same goes for this "sampling filters" claim, where it's totally not clear, what it actually does (yes, I saw you are already discussing it).

I don't want to read/hear pages/minutes of marketing blabla. I want information.

From what I can tell, you pick a sound. This can be mixed with a tweakable envelope type snapshot of a filter (if that makes sense) I like this very much.
Imagine a filter envelope as a drawing.
It's difficult to put into words....
It's kind of like if Meta Synth and a Casio CZ-1 had a mutant baby...

I really like Tone2 products, but some of their marketing hype, not at all:

Psycho-acoustics = Loudness compensation

Resynthesis = One waveform from an entire sample

... but their products, very nice.

I might not have even demoed it based on that vid.

Seriously- Those two 'showcase' sounds they use must have been the two most obnoxious noises they came up with during beta.

Forget that video, it doesn't do Rayblaster any justice at all. I dunno how this thing works at all, but even I can get better sounds from it.

I'm getting to the point that I have too many softsynths, many that go un-used for periods of time. I've been interested in Tone 2 products that for sure, but am getting to the point that I'm less likely to try something new out unless it's revolutionary. That being said, I love using samples and synthesis together, so a proper demo could pull me in.

i have more plugins than i use, but...am always looking for something that just FEELS right; that inspires me, that makes me HAVE TO make new music.

the bottom line (for me anyway) is that a synth inspires; i don't care if it's based on something analog, is a new concept, has different skins...whatever. i just want to be MOVED.

I've wanted to buy Tone2 Gladiator for a while now ... maybe we'll get lucky with a black friday or holiday sale. Damn you tone2 for make cool stuff I want to buy!

These guys seem to have some amazing products.

THEY DO. If you havent tried any of their Vst's you really need to check them out. I havent found a VST from Tone2 that I dont like. Amazing sound quality on everything they put out.

Hi,

a little update on Rayblaster. Last "round" of Presets should be close to be finished, audio demos should be finished soon and additional expansions/soundsets are planned to be released during the next months.
There seems to be lot of of work invested in a new video too.
