I'm looking for a vocoder or more likely harmonizer app for iOS that can be controlled by MIDI - basically I want to feed it my live vocals and a MIDI signal and have it produce a pitch-shifted copy of my vocal for each MIDI note I press, basically so I can play my own vocal harmonies in realtime. Any chance anything like this exists?

If not for iOS then any idea if it exists in VST format? I know it's possible to do something like this using ReaVoice on Reaper but I was hoping for something slightly nicer looking/easier to use.....?? I know I don't ask for much!! :-)

Thanks for taking the time to suggest all of these. I'll definitely try out some of the vocoder ones, but what I'm looking for is less 'robot voice' more 'playable harmonies'....

iVoxel seems great but it's more about the classic vocoder sound; Voice Synth seems to get the closest but it's still working on the vocoding principle (of a carrier wave and a modulator wave) rather than creating pitch-shifted copies of the original signal..... The closest app I've found to do what I want is 'ImproVox' which is like a realtime harmonizer, but it doesn't really let you choose or 'play' the harmonies......

The only other thing I can think of is Voice Jam, which is a looper with harmonizer and an In-App Purchase of Vocal FX emulated from TC-Helicon's range of hardware vocal processors. I've not tried the in-app purchase though...

I'm very interested in an app like this, so if anyone has any additional information, I think there's an audience for it. :-)

VocaLive has a harmonizer, MIDI control feature for real-time "on the fly" parameter control, preset switching with a standard MIDI controller and MIDI interface for iPhone/iPod touch.
