Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows some kind of vst that I could use to see my pitch while I sing in realtime (monophonic audio). So that when I sing a note I can notice if I'm out of it. I don't need to correct the pitch, or to modify it in any way. Only a visualization. For example, time in the x axis (scrolling), pitch in the y axis (with lines for each note). Do you know any? Freeware or commercial? Thanks!!

It doesn't have the XY axis thingy but a simple tuner like GTune should work :)

I hope this helps :)

if you could wait and do it offline, this is exactly melodyne. autotune may do it in real time, it doesn't have to correct it, but i haven't used it.

and.... not kidding... rock band? that's one of the 'games' - you have to sing on the note, and it gives you a graph of how close you are, you have to keep the pitch within a certain range to get the points. maybe you have already seen this and are looking for a vst version :) it wouldn't help with your own music anyways.

or do a google search on 'vocal training software', i got something like this:
http://www.singandsee.com/products.php

which is not vst but if you have something like virtual audio cable, you could route your voice both into this software and into your daw... it's not that expensive...

The TC voicetone correct will do this. It is not vst but goes between the mic and the interface.

Thaks for the answers! :)
I should have explained it better though...
It might sound complex but I think it isn't :? ...

I need it to see my singing while I record, so that if I make a mistake I stop right there and start recording again. Or to practice one part of the song till the pitch is right (that's why it needs to work in real time).
So I need some kind of "history" to see where I was wrong (that's why gtune isn't enough)
I don't need to modify the pitch (so I don't need autotune, melodyne or voicetone correct).
Yeah, it's kinda like rockband, but not for a particular song... just for regular notes.
The sing&see approach is a good idea. I was hoping to find something more easy to use (because with that you have to switch back and forward from you daw to sing&see). But I'll take a look at it, thanks. It's bizarre that there isn't any vst available for such a simple thing :S.
Anyway, if someone has any other idea, it would be appreciated :).
Thanksssss!!!

I don't know which host you're using, but there's Reatune integrated in Reaper, not available as seperate VST though afaik.

It's basically sort of Autotune clone, but you could just use the included realtime pitchgraph and not its tuning functions.

the pitch correct plugin in cubase does this. pitch is on the y axis though. Gsnap has a realtime pitch graph. it's not super accurate, but it is free.
