Why is it a separate app? Doesn't it make more sense for this sort of low level functionality to be built into the OS? In fact I'm surprised it would work without accessing stuff Apple tends to keep sandboxed.

May have jumped the gun a little...heard from another source that December was the date....still a possibility, but regardless...I've tested it extensively and it holds up very well...this will put an end to all the copy/paste hassles or at least most of them.

That is so awesome to hear!!! I found myself trying to create some music on the iPad (on the go, this past weekend) and ran into audiocopy/audiopaste issues between two apps.Derek Buddemeyer wrote:...this will put an end to all the copy/paste hassles or at least most of them.
REALLY looking forward to this and thanks for building the hype!!!

After all this time there's still lots of apps that don't have audio copy /paste just imagine how long it's going to be before most apps actually are audiobus compliantS1gnsOfL1fe wrote:That is so awesome to hear!!! The devs at positive grid were able to implement AudioBus into their app in just a day....the guys at AudioBus provide all the tools and from what I hear, it is a pretty painless experience...quite a few of the "major players" in the music app scene are already on board....

So does this allow you to send midi data from a sequencer like Garageband to a synth like animoog and then get the audio back? Or just audio one way from synth the recording app (garageband)?
