Please help!
I used to use Nuendo 2 but recently switched to Cubase Essential 5.
When using RMiv in nuendo I could assign a pad to a dedicated channel in the mixer to apply fx etc.
I cannot do this in Cubase5. Is this a limatation of Cubase5 compared to Nuendo?
I downloaded demo versions of RMv and Cubase6 to test out my theory but the RMv demo is limited to one stereo output!
I basically need to know whether to upgrade to RMv or upgrade to Cubase 6 (Cant afford both)
Any input greatly apreciated.

In Cubase 4 and above you need to specifically enable outputs other than the first stereo output. There is a button on the instrument rack which lists the outputs of the instrument and allows you to enable or disable each one.

Hi,
thanks for the response, just logged in to write exactly the same thing.
For anyone reading this with the same problem its the funny "[" button beside the instrument name on the rack (F11) that activates vst output channels.
Thanks again, [embarrased smiley]
