Hi all experts here,

I was looking at the promotion of Waves Gold Bundle which has 30 effect plugin included. I heard about the good reputation of Waves products. But is it really worth $399 ? Are those 30 effects all useful at all? I guess that they may bundle some junk stuff with good stuff.

I have Izotope Ozone 5, so I thought that should cover a lot of what I need.

Please help if you have ever had experience with Waves Gold Bundle.

Thanks a lot!

I really think you should try out some freebies first, and see what you feel you need. Yes, Waves Gold Bundle is worth the money if you need these particular plugins. Otherwise it's not. It's a question that almost impossible to answer without knowing your background and what you already have. There are tons of people here that can help you with opinions and recommendations, but you have to narrow it down.

or for $18 more at AudioDeluxe but you also get the One Knob bundle with it too.

Thanks, Tpot! I only have Izotope Ozone 5 and a few others which came with Cubase 5. I do not have a strong background of effect processing.

In that case I would definitely search the Database here at KVR first:

http://www.kvraudio.com/q.php

and try some freebies.

You can get goodies from Christian Budde, Mildon Studios, TAL,
Melda Production, Variety Of Sound and a whole lot more. I'm sure the people here at KVR can help you with their own favorites...

Just buying plugins at random will be very costly, there are soooo many interesting ones. But by all means, use the ones that comes with Cubase too. They will also help find out what you are interested in.

I own the gold bundle and for that price they are more than worth it.....great sound, interface, and plenty of versatility. They go great with your other effect plugs.

Looks like Plugin Discounts has the one knob bundle included in the $280 price.

Can I cihme in here as I too am looking to buy Waves Gold Native. I have always considered Waves a bit pricey over the years but the current deal looks like a steal BUT I haven't been able to keeop up with the latest in effects plugs for a bit and wondered does anyone have this and still recommend over what else is out there.

I want to have a broad pallette to do my own mixes, they seem to have a lot but wondered for PC native arena weould Waves Gold be the best bundle I can get for $280, packing the most punch?

Thanks in advance for the help.
This isn't what you think.

Yes, they used to be pricey.

I got the Gold in march, and could not be more pleased. It's maybe a handful that I haven't used.

There will always be people saying there are better ones.

They say blueray looks better than SD resolution - but I think SD is good enough.
And that is what I feel about Waves stuff too - I have no regrets - and continued buying quite a few more.

Those that promote other small companies should explain what happends when small vendors go bankrupt - and there you are with your investment?
Thinking the Kjaerhus Audio example - people that bought them have trouble when switching computer.

And things I did not think so much about from start was the very clever interface that is standard with Waves - the A/B testing features that are easy to switch back and forth and built in help - this on all plugins.

But consider - if not using a supported product - forget about support. Even if it has nothing todo with your daw host - they won't help you.

Just my input on the subject...

I use Waves Gold on every track - but be aware that WUP has just gone up by third, coincidentally just after the big sale they've had.
