Got this for the Black Friday deal directly from Cakewalk and WOW is it worth the money. Amazing sounds for so little. If you've been on the fence, get off the fence. Very impressed.

Not so much for the sound though (it sounds good), but for the fact that this is a total beast in terms of functions. Hardly ever seen a synth, plugin or hardware, with so much stuff, 2 filters per oscillator, 6 oscillators total, voice stacking, tons of modulation slots, X-Y-pad, step generators and what not. And the envelope generators are grand, didn't see that on any other plugin as well.

I was about to say "that's for z3ta+, not Rapture" but first I googled, then signed up at PatchArena. Learn something new every day.Numanoid wrote:Think you seen the best?
You need to pick up the free Muzeum pack.
That will add a lot of fun 8)

Any way to get this without having to register there? Just did a KVR search, but no result really..Meffy wrote:I was about to say "that's for z3ta+, not Rapture" but first I googled, then signed up at PatchArena. Learn something new every day.Numanoid wrote:Think you seen the best?

If I understand correctly, All Rapture LFO's and Step Generators сan modulate ONLY 5 parameters (for each osc of course): Amplitude,Pitch, Filter Cutoff & Resonance, Panorama.chk071 wrote:+1MIDICH1 wrote:Very impressed.

Oddly enough, I've only recently discovered Rapture for self (with the purchase), but I'm confused.
Why are so varied and advanced modulation is distributed only to those basic parameters?
Why in the modulation matrix No LFO's and Step Generators as a source?

Glad you posted OP, was gonna skip it (no brain, er
). It's so light on the cpu for the sound quality. Is there oversampling in the updated versions?

yes, that can be a little confusingMeffy wrote: I was about to say "that's for z3ta+, not Rapture" but first I googled, then signed up at PatchArena. Learn something new every day.
I did the original Muz3um for z3ta+ in 2004, after René added the capability to load directly wave files for the oscillator sections
then, in 2008 I release a bank with the same name for Rapture, but the two packs have nothing in common in terms of content. They share only the idea of being based on waveforms from analog synthesizers
a second Muz3um bank was released last year for z3ta+2, reprogramming the original presets in order to include the new features
talking about free packs for Rapture, one of my favourites is the "Twisted Oscillators PA bank of the month", really excellent and absolutely recommended
here for both Win and Mac

Kurzweil PC3 can get there, and more.chk071 wrote:2 filters per oscillator, 6 oscillators total

Can't see anything special with Rapture's envelopes. Absynth has the same thing, Zebra too, and other synths too...

fr4ncesco, how nice to see you -- and to be able to thank you "in person" for your sound designs for these synths. *salute* Now that I know they're completely different, I'll have to get the z3ta+ Muz3um too.fr4ncesco wrote:yes, that can be a little confusingMeffy wrote: I was about to say "that's for z3ta+, not Rapture" but first I googled, then signed up at PatchArena. Bought it, installed and playing now. Totally worth it for the pads and soundcapes.
