Woah. I don't want to sound stupider than usual, but can someone explain this plugin to me? I didn't understand the description.

I'm sure its the most sophisticated plugin on the list somehow, but either I am just stone dumb or 99% of us are saying "huh?" about it.

I think the person who voted "yes its simple stupid" could give us an example of how this plugin can be used? Would be nice ... :!:

It's supposed to answer questions like: what settings on equalizer B match certain settings/a specific preset on equalizer A?

As I understand it, what is does is that it plays some sound through the reference and the matched plugin. It then automatically modifies the automatable parameters of the matched plugin using some clever heuristics and learning procedure to make the matched plugin sound as similar as possible to the reference plugin.

At least that's how I understand it.

Edit: it wasn't me who voted "yes its simple stupid" btw.

Ahh I see. Thank you, paterpeter!

From the original explanation of Christian I didn't get it. Your words illuminate the function of this plugin ... and indeed, in certain circumstances the presetmatcher could be helpful.

Thanks to Christian Budde!

Hello,

I just updated the tool to version 1.0.4 and along with the new version, I published an installer for the example VST Plug-ins only. So in case you don't need the tool yet, you can still have fun with the included VST Plug-ins.

For clarification, I also updated the about text. I hope this makes it more clear now.

Kind regards,

Christian
