The price is not announced so far but as Saurus is 99 Euros and both ElectraX and Gladiator 2 are 149 Euros i guess it will be between those two prices.

Have you become a Tone 2 representative?

Exactly. I have explained it into detail at page 5 of this thread.

Since Markus and Bastiaan had decided to leave KVR (for reasons i personally could understand...) i try to deliver some informations about Tone2 products.

Official announcements could be also found at their own forum:

While using only waveforms which have created myself based on Wave Designer, samples of various synths or Cableguys Curve i just started exploring my huge sample library from e.g. hollow Sun etc.
Got a nice result when "extracting" a single cycle from a Mellotron Choir sample.
The original instrument did not contain a filter but Rayblaster does not really care about that. :)
If you import the Mellotron waveform into Rayblaster it will create a kind of "fantasy filter". In the case of Vocal or Choir waveforms this will usually result in something like a mix of a formant filter and a Comb filter.
Based on that you could get a certain number of different timbres while turning the "Formant" knob which corresponds to the Cutoff knob in a "traditional" synth.

You could shape the sound further by adding different "Osc windows" which are something like wave shapers. There are also different "PW sequences" which could lead to different kind of "PWM" with any kind of waveform. As already mentioned with the "Square<PW>Peek" PW sequence you could transform a waveform based on a Sawtooth into a Square or Pulse, in combination with the filter response that was extracted from the original waveform.

Rayblaster will only play back the part of a waveform currently displayed in the waveform display in combination with the current "Osc window". For very long waveforms (e.g. 30000 samples) you could do a kind of "wave scanning" when you modulate the start phase parameter. The result also depends on how much you "zoomed" into the waveform based on the "harmonic" setting. As already mentioned earlier this could result in only a very small part of the waveform being used or multiples of the whole waveform.
The results you get while turning the "Formant" knob will also depend on how far you zoomed into the waveform.

In each oscillator you could mix two waveforms which leads to even more complex results.

As a conclusion i could say that there seem to be almost endless possibilities and the factory presets will not be able to represent everything that is possible (while they will try as good as possible of course...). There will be much left for future expansions i guess and first ones will not take very long...

Hi,

the planned release of Rayblaster is at the beginning of December and if everything runs well this could be possible IMO.
Presets are finished now, audio demos will be soon and the current version seems to be quite stable. A new video seems to be on the way too.

Cool to see the new video. I did know they are hardly working on it but i have not seen the video so far.

Looks like a nice explanation of Rayblaster's main features.

Seems to be easier to understand than the lots of texts i wrote in this thread about several features.
