Best free iPod touch compatible instrument apps?

I want something to install on my wife's iPod that I can use to record audio straight from the iPod. Nothing too fancy, just something cool I can fiddle around with. Thanks!

That looks cool enough but its not free. It is my wife's ipod so I'm just sticking with free stuff. It does make me want an iPad after seeing all the cool apps that are available.
