WOK, that's an interesting technique. I can't say it's 1) smooth/easy workflow-wise overall (considering I want to do this for about 500-1000 arps, and it doesn't even line them up with the starting beat), and 2) after trying it a few times, the only way to get even halfway decent output (midi/score notation-wise) is to change the sound of every patch to no modulation or detuning etc., and to fiddle with the speed it's recorded into Edison at. And even then, it still has to be manually cleaned up a bit.
So ultimately, it's a fail as far as how I want to use, that is - for my specific project. That said, I do appreciate your input and explanation of how to do it that way, and I might even return to that method someday for some experimental stuff when I have the time to do things that way (if I never do find a proper simple way to get that pesky midi output ha-ha).

Exactly as it sounds - just create a new instrument channel - can be an instrument or just a MIDI Out generator, then select it in the step sequencer. I have managed to crash FL several times now while changing Midiyoke settings though ha-ha.
