It's been reported that it is not working in PreSonus 32bit and I don't have solution currently.

Also, I've been told that it works in PreSonus 64bit via jBridge:

i can confirm that. it's not working in studio one pro 32bit, and may i say that studio one normally isn't really picky in terms of that. it however works if you use a subhost like energy 1.4.1 or energy xt. but imo that's not a solution, as subhosts tend to lean towards the rather buggy side. it's at least one potential problem maker in between that isn't/shouldn't be necessary.

on the other hand philteroid does sound quite interresting. if there would be whatever kind of saturation within the recursive filter path to sound more analog, as well as that it could have a seperate output slider, philteroid could be a contender to the best filter plugins out there.

Thanx, Phuturetone and brok landers.

I'll install Reaper, just becouse I like the idea of a virtual Sherman. And the GUI is nice too. Hope you'll make it work in S1.

Thanks. Maybe no need to install Reaper. Check out my latest post in Philteroid support tread:

Im gettin in the groove with a track using only DC12 entries.

i must say (i know i'm gonna be beaten for this, why am i doing that?! :)) that i'm actually a little dissapointed from the dc this year. i thought the time is up nowadays for more bootsie ranged quality.
however, there were some very few very good/good ones, and some at least being are worth to mention imo.

which are in no particular order:

- bootsie/variety of sound
(i of course wasn't surprised on thatone at all)

- g200kg
(imo some stuff has to be tweaked/added, but then this thing could easily rival the throne of the freeware synths, synth1)

- vladG/sound
(a very common aspect of mixing/recording in a convenient plugin, really useful if you're a pro engineer)

- cytosonic
(a nice approach on reverb, but imo it didn't really convince me to 100%)

- phuturetone
(sherman filterbank! not close in sound, rather in functionality, but it's really a tweakers dream, you can do a lot of interresting stuff with it.)

- xoxos
(from what i hear in the audiodemo it's awesome, though it doesn't work here, no matter what)

- remigio coco
(this thing to me is a sneak preview of how an osc module in a fullblown synthesizer could look like. highly flexible for stuff that's really great)

- full bucket
(i just love frequency shifters)

- martin eastwood
(i would wish for more slots and more fx, but the concept is just great)

- beat/synapse audio
(mainly because richard did the exellent programming and marco did the good bass-sounddesign)

i did not take in account pure sampling libraries, as imo a dc should stay on the focus for creating/programming plugins, rather than content. i don't devalue content though. but then i'd rather do a dedicated sounddesigner challenge.

i would really wish for a dc challenge that has the rule that mac and pc support is mandatory. just for the sake of fairness, as there's a lot of entries that can't be judged by mac users. i'm on a pc mainly, but there's also a lot of mac users out there, which are kinda left out in the voting.

however, all that being said, it has to be pointed out once more that this is just my personal opinion.

Someone asked why I didn't include effects in 'Trans Computer Maschine'.

Well, I wanted it to have a real vintage spirit so here it is, 'TCM' is a core sound maker, it does not need FX to mask things like oscillator aliasing or tasteless filtering.

The core sound is what does matter, then you mix it, add FX and so on, just like Ralf, Florian, Wolfgang and Karl did under Conny's advice.

BTW, there are nice FX plug-ins in the DC2012 suitable to enhance 'TCM' in the mix (some had my vote).

Bye for now, enjoy,

Walter

Glad I'm not the only one doing this, there's such a wide range of stuff, it'd be a shame not to!

Thanks Niko, if the plugin is popular then I have plans for a v2 that will have both of those :)

Mmmm ... perhaps Walter has a life outside this forum. I hear some people do.
None of the really dumb people I knew when I was young are young any more.
