I suppose I should really play around with the demo and see what that does for my gear lust. It doesn't look like I would save much by buying Live Suite 8 now and then adding Push later, but I guess that does at least spread out the cost a little. Hmmm...
The I promise I WILL buy more gear thread

I'm using 8 with the "beta" x64. BTW, I had a copy of "lite" 8 laying around and demoed extensively before buying the mama. I didn't just blindly go into it. Also, I had the "groove 3" pass but even though it's mostly for "7" it helped a lot. There are a shitload of youtube viddy's though. I mean, A TON! And people here were really helpful toodeastman wrote:Don't tell me things like that, or so help me God, I'll spend again!!!![]()

Yeah, I'm thinking I should probably just go ahead and buy it while the price is a bit lower. I've been toying with the idea for several years now, and Push looks so sexy...hibidy wrote:I'm using 8 with the "beta" x64. I have a free Lynda.com account courtesy of my job, and they have about 10 hours of Live 8 training up there. I'm actually getting kind of excited about this... my thinking would be to build up the parts of songs in Live, and then export them to Sonar to finish in a more linear fashion. Especially for grabbing loops from my eurorack modular or guitar, Live is pretty enticing. Sonar's audiosnap is pretty handy, but they don't have anything close to the warp markers in Live.

Trying to ignore the Elektron Analog Four but it does look like it will be a lot of fun and very useful for sound design + sequencing. The price is right. Due here 5th December. That gives me just over a week to collect my resolve
Then I can concentrate on not purchasing the DSI Evolver PEK. Which would honestly be the last synth I need, ever.
Hooray for GAS.
Peace,
Andy.

@Meffy - that was my little attempt at some gassy humour
Honestly, it helps to talk about these things.
Doesn't it?
I mean, if it wasn't for KVR we'd all be thinking about world peace or something.
Right?
