If we talk about synths that we owned in the past and regret selling i
say Roland Jupiter 8 (with MIDI!!).

The price of all equipment together (second hand prices) was around 3000 Euros (or a a little more). Try to get only the Jupiter for that now...

my favorite (soft-) synth:

Zebra

(because of lots of reasons: flexibility & sound; fun to program, is great in the mix (specially with orchestral instruments), etc. )

If i need a special high-end analogu-esque sound, my choice is Diva.
If i want instant high-quality i like Omnisphere.

in the hardware world, my favorites are Matrix 12, Jupiter 8 and Prophet VS
