I really like this Limter6. One thing about it though:

For an entire 'album', I'd used it as the last VST on the mixbus. The settings were such that the l/r 'vu' meter itself (on the bus itself) was never going over 0. So, everything seemed ok.

However, when upon 'analyzing' the 'final mix' audio files using the 'TT Dynamic Range Offline Meter 1.1', the 'left' and 'right' 'peak' boxes say, 'over'. Anyway; all other recordings (none of which used limiter6 as the last plug-in on the mixbus) run through the 'TT DR meter' say the peak is '-0.00' (or less).

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

If it sounds good, it is good. No one else will have known until now that you've pointed it out. Infected Mushroom is known to intentionally push track levels over 0db on a digital mixer instead of resorting to using compression plugins/hardware. I love their mixing/production techniques and songs too.

In December. But only beta version, I suppose. There were claims about AU version of Proximity plugin (DC12 entry) with Logic and I don't have a solution to solve them yet.

Molot AU version (beta too) with GUI will be released at the same time.

BTW, who's interested in agressive Limiter6 settings for electronic music, check the beginning of the latest Proximity plugin video (watch in HD to see exact parameter values):

btw. no problems with proximity in logic express 9.1.8. on mac os 10.7.5. here.

This is the latest preview of v1.0.2 of Limiter No6 before release (I want to make some more checks before official release).

What's new?

* New stereo-linking mode with significantly reduced distortions;
* Numeric parameter values can be edited;
* Less intensive animations to save CPU;
* Changes in Type I-III modes make sound a bit more transparent;
* AU version!

AU version release notes:

* in "Min. latency" mode you must stop then start playback to refresh host latency compensation;
* if you manually enter numeric parameter value, you should click somewhere on plugin background instead of press "enter".

THANK YOU Vlad! My favourite limiter just got even better! [new stereo-linking mode]

I can't wait to try it. Not that I'm limiting much, though. I stick to K-14 loudness, but it does matter how it handles an occasional peak here and there, and how the compressor "glues" the mix. I find the compressor lovely, too. All in one solution.

edit: oh yes! regarding Molot, I love the new limiter mode much better. I compared it to 0.3 nogui version.

Been using this for ages now but noticed some mid-range sounds distorting even with nearly no reduction. Swapped for Barricade demo to compare and there was no mid-range distortion until pushed quite hard.

I'm not sure what was causing it but it seemed to be happening when multiple instances were working together (one on a bus, one on a master for example) but less with 1 instance.
