got my iconnectmidi however, I received the device, psu and only a usb to 30 pin apple connector?.

What cable do I need to connect to my PC? is it a usb a to usb a?

Post

You need a micro USB to A. It will be like the USB end of the cable supplied which goes into the iConnectMIDI, and the other end goes into the computer. Though you may be able to use what you suggested (A to A), but I have not tried that.

Is your iConnectMIDI connected? Drivers installed? Ok, now read the iConnect & Ableton's manuals.

Post

Drivers installed yes.

however, my iconnectmidi didn't come with a manual. Just wanted to know if it was a setting on ableton or the iconnect so I can send data to sunrizer.

Post

Select the midi output on a midi track that leads to the iConnect iPad midi input. Also, see if it's set to the same port as sunrizer.

Post

I don't have Ableton, but that procedure exists in every DAW. Works for me in FL Studio to Alesis IO Dock to Sunrizer.

Post

I try and see if there's an on-line manual, however, at the moment the out for the midi channel is to Sunrizer but nothing is outputting.

Checked the Sunrizer midi input port (=channel)?

Tools > Settings > Midi > Channel
(and also look at the 'inputs', there should be an entry for the iConnect)

Checked that before asking him, I get it working but love this device. touchosc is awesome.

Are you saying you got it figured out? Are you able to play the MIDI file with Sunrizer?

Yes. I absolutely love the iConnectMIDI (and the iPad). It is a wonderful tool for keyboardists or anyone using MIDI. It really helps resolve several issues in one, small device. It is now part of my live setup (in addition to home).

I meant Mini USB. I recall trying to get it right and looking at an image, and I still messed up. Sorry about that. Not sure if it's mini-A or B, though.

I know the maker. Great guy. Glad to see it being discussed (was even happier to see it on the shelf of a local music store which I know must have been a tough one to deal with).
