I think I'm going to sell my Ibanez bass and get a baritone guitar. I just don't play the bass that much.. sigh.

Fender makes a nice-looking Tele baritone that should be decent with a little work. And it's in my price range!!

I bought a squire tele custom, bought a baritone neck from Warmoth, changed out everything with parts I own and only saved the body and pick guard...it cost me less than the Fender and if anything it's better than the Fender imo...I'm just saying

I'm REAL nervous about doing anything more complex than swapping pickups at this point.

My eyesight isn't that great and my hands aren't what they used to be, so I suspect it'd be easier for me to gt the baritone Tele and fix it, than try to make a FrankenTele..

If I were brave I'd give it a try but I'm barely up for pup-swapping!

Sounds like a cool project, though!

I'm bummed the bass thing isn't getting it for you. Frankly I like playing guitar more, but I like having basses around for the itch.

I always like having a Bass around , sometime I'll put a drum loop on and play the Bass to it , then go back and mess with the acoustic or electric guitar stuff later , it just changes things up makes it fresh to do things backwards . I have a Avante Baritone acoustic guitar too , I dont mess with it much, I did when it was new though , May sell it .

It's mostly a temperament thing, I suspect. When I grab the strings I either want it to sing or scream, while on occasion I like a nice groove, mostly I prefer either kind of acoustic-style new-age feel or blazingly hard death metal! Sometimes blues too.

That and the neck is so ferking wide it's hard for me to play for long without getting tired fingers. Sigh.

It was a risk, I just guessed wrong this time.

I know EVERYONE has been waiting for the update

*sigh* I am finding flaws in the new bass (everyone go "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" ) There is a reason it was under 600. However (yeah......something good to say??) IT'S SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean......it's just crazy fun. I still suck at certain things intonation wise but overall it's pretty sweet. Been jamming with live a bunch to check my tuning and it's really good considering I've had it less than a week. Neck is so smooth and buttery.......*sigh*

Oh and it sounds fab! (the crowd goes nuts!)
