Got a small proplem with demo version. Allmost every preset has small random clicking sound. CPU does not spike but it allmost sounds like that. I am with XP sp3 and latest FL. Has anyone else faced this problem?
edit: Activating fixed buffers from FL tab seems to remove the problem.

Just received the full version of v1.0.1 (for 32-bit) myself and will test now.

My first impression: Sounds 100% digital (which is not a bad or good thing, a neutral observation really). Aliasing on some sounds (e.g. path Synth > Blowsyn EDT on lower notes). Interesting concept and invites to explore and tweak - but couldn't find (yet) sounds that blew me away - will certainly have a further play with it. I like the expressiveness on the patches in the Keys category, well done. Price is a bit too steep IMO.

is the filter copying enabled in the demo?

I am using the full version so i don't know exactly but AFAIK the demo version should allow loading your own waveforms.vurt wrote:is the filter copying enabled in the demo?

There are also factory waveforms for that and of course several presets that use that emulation.
One of my Lead sounds is called "Phatty Saw Lead 1 IW" and is based on waveforms of my Moog Slim Phatty. Same about e.g. "Phatty Brass IW".
The Lead "SaurusRezMorph IW" is based on waveforms of Saurus. The Modwheel morphs from a non-resonant to a resonant waveform using the "Wave 1/2 Mix" parameter.
The presets "SHub Bass 2 IW", "SHynth Brass IW" and "Horny SH IW" are based on waveforms from LuSH-101 which were processed with an external EQ while rendering.
The preset "Synth BP Strings IW" (used in my audio demo already published here) is based on a BPF waveform from Xils Synthix.
some waveforms in the factory content (those with "IW" at the end are also from me including some "wavetables" which were created from several single waveforms and some crossfading.
Some wavetable presets are e.g. "WT Scan Pad 2 IW" and "WT Scan Pad 5 IW".
BTW i have just created wavetables/waveforms of all 32 original PPG Wave wavetables based on the PPG Wave 3.V plugin.

Little "bug" maybe - I was having a sequence running, while I was making some coffee. Still could hear how the demo timed out and I was left with the last played sound kept in the buffer, ending in a sustained sound of that portion. Could be kinda weird, if this is happening a lot and for others too while trying the demo.
There are some cool sounds you can get by using modulation of some OSC parameters. I like how OSC1, OSC2 and options for both OSCs now do have a better visual separation inside the mod matrix compared to Saurus. Wondering what those 2 "reserved" slots in the mod matrix could be for or if it's just a demo thing.

Only tried it briefly, it seems an interesting synth so far, first impression is that I like it. Will know if its more novelty factor or genuine after more testing.
I like the concept, seems a fair balance between ease of use and features, though could do with 2 more envelopes and more complex envelopes to be a perfect balance for me. Price is a bit steep IMO, which would certainly stop any sort of impulse purchase for me. Time will tell.

Rayblaster is not really analog and not really digital by design. Both the basic timbre and the filter response depend on the waveform you feed into it.dalor wrote:My first impression: Sounds 100% digital (which is not a bad or good thing, a neutral observation really).
Even if the GUi maybe looks quite simple this is also no synth you will learn after having just a short look at the controls.

nice, have added this to my arsenal. am finding it usable, a big thing for me (more important than HOW it works or WHY it does what it does is...can i use it in my music?). still early, but possibly a new fave plugin. love the stereo spread, and the easy GUI (AND i can hide the keyboard, something i'm always going on about at the forums)...

I could get it to make some nice sounds already.
One thing that I don't like is, that it's not showing the names of the used files inside the oscillators if you use a preset, but the blank "Load Wave1". With a custom patch I do get the actual name of the file used. If you tweak a preset and change the wave to just realize how much better the original one used was, it could be handy to know the names.
It also would be interesting to know, how Rayblaster handles more user wave-forms inside its own "RayBlaster_waves" folder. I just remember a post, where the spreadsheet view would change into vertical scrolling, once you add more like 160 files.
EDIT: I copied all existing waves, ending up in 170 files in the waves folder and it keeps the spreadsheet view.
